  1. Thaiman Kwanpetch Out! Will this lead to protests? Calls for all foreigners to be investigated? Will the PM and Deputy PM get directly involved? Of course not. He'll be banged up and shagged silly in prison. Might not even be deported after his sentence either.
  2. Police investigators have now filed charges of assault against Fehr which he has denied with investigators in the process of questioning two more eyewitnesses. https://thainewsroom.com/2024/03/04/senior-phuket-policeman-just-a-friend-of-a-friend-of-swiss-man-facing-charges/ Interesting article, apart from the denial of assault, he is pictured hob-nobbing with senior Thai Police in Phuket. *Bold is mine for emphasis.
  3. Fair play to the Chinese driver, he remained at the scene and called the Police. Something not many Thai drivers would have done.
  4. Owning the firearms legally with a licence doesn't fit the narrative that Swissman David is a danger to society or a bad man and should be deported without trial or due process.
  5. You insinuated that someone may have died as a result of the Swissman's actions, so I posted the facts of what happened as they have been reported. You know fine well what you were doing.
  6. It's only posters that can't control their emotions, and are not dealing in facts, logic, and the data of this case that seem to have a problem with what I posted. I have simply been stating facts as they have been reported. It seems this case has folk like you rattled.
  7. You were insinuating that he could have caused someone's death, which wasn't the case.
  8. Authorities have already withdrawn the licenses for a pistol and rifle. Mr Fehr owned the pistol, while the Elephant Foundation owned the rifle. https://www.chiangraitimes.com/news/elephant-sanctuary-in-phuket/ In the case of firearms, David possesses two firearms, a handgun, a Glock, and a rifle, and has a Grade 4 licence to own and use firearms after seeking authorization for buying and possessing them in the name of the foundation. https://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/2024/03/08/the-david-effects-swiss-man-case-leads-for-more-inspections/
  9. Stick to the ad hominem, you are useless at facts, logic, and data.
  10. I quoted your original post. You claimed, "impeding the ambulance may be a contributing factor in causing someone's death." It wasn't. The ambulance was not on urgent business. I posted the facts.
  11. Shooting the ground, which ricochets and hits a 17-year-old suspect. The stuff of pure untrained amateurs.
  12. Not only his visa, they are taking his elephant sanctuary licence from him now too.
  13. It was reported that two licences for handguns were in his name.
  14. I'm stating the facts. Not made any excuses for his behaviour.
  15. I am not making excuses for him, but they are punishing him before he has stood trial, which is arbitrary and unacceptable.
  16. If that was the case, how could they charge him with illegal possession, given that they legally belong to his wife?
  17. He was forced to apologise. When the incident originally occurred, he refused to apologise, claimed the ambilance driver was at fault, and the ambulance driver was facing charges of defamation and for contravening the computer crimes act. Anyway, the ambulance was not on an urgent mission and there was no-one in danger of dying as you claimed earlier. He cut in front of another vehicle, and gave the driver the finger. That is all we know for sure.
  18. He had licences for both handguns according to earlier reports.
  19. He hasn't admitted the offence, he is saying he slipped. He has been forced to publicly apologise though, maybe you are confusing that for an admission of guilt?
  20. The officials names, and how he got gun licences will never be mentioned, nor reported, and it will all be swept under the rug so that the corruption and criminality can continue unabated.
  21. Again, you are refusing to acknowledge the issues that this incident has brought to the fore. Arbitrary and disproportionate punishments, assumed guilty before trial, lack of due process, trial by media, etc. He should face trial and a judge should decide what the appropriate punishment is for the offence he allegedly committed. The decision is not for local governors, immigration police, politicians, protesting mobs, or people posting on social media to make.
  22. Who knows his motivation for needing them. Maybe he felt threatened or wanted to protect his family? It's a convenient issue to further characterise him for trial on social media and by the mob though.
  23. You completely miss the point. The reaction to his alleged offence is completely disproportionate. He is also being punished before a trial in court has found him guilty of the alleged offence, which is arbitrary and sets a very dangerous precedent.
  24. He had licences for those firearms. If there is any illegality, it is from the Thais that issued him the licenses, as foreigners cannot legally own handguns. They are just piling on him more and more. Now I see that his elephant sanctuary licence is to be revoked. Good to know all of this can happen without a court deciding he is guilty. He is a foreigner, and he has been tried and found guilty by the media and the mob. A very worrying precedent to set. Position yourself accordingly.
