  1. His visa has been revoked. He has not yet been blacklisted. If he shows contrition for his actions, if the court deems it appropriate, he will be allowed to get another visa and continue living in Thailand. If not, he will be blacklisted and not allowed back in. See comment above.
  2. He was. Not many of them actually know what they are doing.
  3. He has previously refused to apologise, was called into the Police station and made to apologise, so yes. This is the second apology, and a more public one. I think the Swiss guy has had no choice but to make another public apology to the ambo driver, under pressure from the authorities.
  4. If that were the case, hundreds of thousands of Thais would be charged every day.
  5. I think he's in the sht and will do whatever he was told to do, which is in this case to apologise.
  6. Correct and I am surprised so many people leaving confused reactions on that post as we all know about the criminal defamation laws in Thailand.
  7. Very unlikely to be the scenario in this case given he has money and other options for visas but point taken. BKK Post reporting business visa, so I think you nailed it as poor reporting in your post.
  8. Which does not give any balance or fairness to the reporting of the case. Several articles stating he will be charged for the incident as well, which is concerning. I was not aware that giving the finger and telling another vehicle to eff off was a chargeable offence. They are completely losing it over this Swiss idiot and are showing their true character which is not one of maturity and good judgement.
  9. Likely to be correct. Non-b plus work permit as I suggested.
  10. Perfectly aware of that, but we have not heard the Swiss guy's side of the story.
  11. A nonsense article adding fuel to the fire. Retirement visa under 50 is not possible. Retirement visa does not allow permanent residency. Multiple incidents of misconduct which are completely unsubstantiated. Etc.
  12. You cannot get a retirement visa if under the age of 50. Additionally, he has the job title of Managing Director of the Elephant Sanctuary, so it is likely he is on Non-B and work permit. Poor journalism or a clueless official, either perfectly plausible here in Thailand.
  13. He cut in front of the ambulance and gave the driver the finger. He did not block it and the ambulance was not on an urgent mission with no sirens. We have only heard the ambulance driver's side of the story.
  14. I know foreign criminals that have been blacklisted from Thailand but have still been back here for short periods of time. Likewise, I know Thai felons that have gained entry to Western countries with falsified clean Thai Police records checks to get visas.
  15. Link to the evidence of his visa status please?
  16. None of that has been proven, and at this time it is only pure speculation. I think someone is trying to steal that business off him.
  17. How is the business registered? Making allegations like that is criminal defamation in Thailand and a violation of the Computer Crimes Act.
  18. Unsuccessful people often struggle to understand how success has come to others when it has eluded them.
  19. You were the one that posted, and I quote, “reports on Facebook anyone that attempted to access the beach were chased away by a foreigner waving a shotgun stating this is a private beach”. There's no evidence of this being true, therefore it is unsubstantiated at this time. If you have any evidence of the Swiss guy waving a shotgun about on the beach, then post it here.
  20. As I said, completely unsubstantiated, along with many of the other allegations.
  21. Completely unsubstantiated. As were the false allegations that he was waving a gun while driving his car, hit pedestrians etc.
  22. He is a rich farang with a successful business, massive house and a very nice car. He's got more than 99% of the locals will ever have. Don't worry, if they keep swigging that Lao Khao, and popping into the temple to pray to win the lottery, one day it might happen. 😆
  23. Had to double-check the article as I initially thought they accidentally repeated the names. RIP to the two brothers. Time to limit the top speed of minivans to 90kph and stop people riding in the back of pick-ups and trucks.
