  1. Nor me but it was one of my usual flippant comments and not meant to be taken seriously.
  2. They are expensive to install here and budget is ALWAYS the primary consideration. I was not consulted as usual as they think they know best but one of my colleagues built a factory here with no sprinkler system when the type of building requires one to be fitted as per Thai law. It is still operating and has passed all safety inspections thus far. ????‍♂️
  3. They have already said they will not be purchasing the weapons systems, so how are they going to arm them? A white elephant, and Thailand is where that phrase came from, with little wonder as to why.
  4. Maybe he was the Prince and he was killed by somebody trying to get at his vast fortune? BTW, what's your email address?
  5. Auditors and safety officers always too grieng jai to tell them there's anything wrong... so nothing ever improves.
  6. Doesn't prove there is one issued either. Not just the upper echelons.
  7. The kind of person that drives one of them fast, is a mere peasant with low-self esteem. They do tend to graduate to Accords and Camrys later on in life though and if they come into a bit money but they are still peasants.
  8. Oh look, agricultural utility vehicles make up the largest percentage! What a surprise.
  9. What did you expect? As you allude wouldn't be Thailand without the ensuing confusion and backpeddling.
  10. Doomed as in won't be popular at the ballot box. You may not like it, but public reaction to the decriminalisation of cannabis has been overwhelmingly positive.
  11. Smoking rooms and cafes springing up everywhere. Any government that attempts prohibition to stop this cash cow is doomed.
  12. Oh absolutely. Recriminalising cannabis is the most ridiculous and self-destructive thing they could possibly do at the moment, which is why it will probably happen 555.
  13. A ridiculous and fearmongering article that misses the key points entirely and deliberately. In order to recriminalise the use of cannabis they would have to add it back to the category 5 narcotics list from which it was recently removed. By doing so, they would make hundreds of thousands of Thais criminals overnight. Note that they have just given away a million plants, and it is available everywhere and now a massive industry with products on the shelves of every convenience store and supermarket. It's here to stay so better just deal with it as it is.
  14. He's a pretty average person at best but thinks he's something special with an ego to match. I encounter a lot of these types in upper management in companies I work with.
  15. It wouldn't be Thailand if there wasn't complete confusion about what is going on.
  16. Hundreds of thousands of Thai people are growing their own cannabis now. It's hard work at 75 queueing for food at the food banks.
  17. Would you accept being tested for drugs at immigration when entering another country? I don't use any illicit drugs and rarely drink these days but it is simply not acceptable to check and punish people for something they have done that was perfectly legal in another country. It's called personal freedom and millions died for it and that flag you have in your avatar. Jeez, you're having a 'mare on this thread mate.
  18. Any country that tests me for drugs at immigration will never be visited ever again.
