Re enactments of crimes was made unlawful about 10 years ago so why are the police breaking the law they are suppost to uphold. Guilty or not guilty he has to have a fair trail and in Thailand you are guilty before you commit a crime if you are a foreigner.. this even made the national news but only because it's a foreigner nothing was said when the 6 teachers were raping the kids last year. Or the 5 police officers all sentenced with the death penalty but freed 6 month later. I am not defending him if he is guilty then he should pay and not buy his way out like some do.

100% agree that is exactly the words the fun factor has gone. My better half is a teacher and she would agree with your mrs but complains about the lack of freedom to teach they must use certain books which are 10 years out dated and must conform to what the government says are the ways to teach. In other words brain washing the kids. The racism here has always been kind of hidden but not anymore and I have a feeling with the new generations will get worse. 25 years here and seen many changes Good and bad. I dont blame the government anybody would jump at the chance to make money here It's the people who sit back and let it happen even today the same people pay money to get promotions in jobs and even at village level so it's always been a circle these with money make more and get more power the people cant see this and only see the 1000baht they get for a vote keeping the poor poor. But yes in the last 7 years things have got much worse not they they were perfect before that. With people going missing never to be found later charged with drug offences and police getting rich and buying even more promotions. And after 25 years here I am looking at other countries to go and live as I dont think things will change here for 30 years and I wont be alive then.

If his age is 37 ( but looks older ) he cant get a retirement Visa and I'm sure you only need police certificate for a retirement visa

Why wouldn't you want to support your child. Anybody with any decency would give everything they have to their child for any chance of a better life

I think a person's attitude or mind set changes as we get older what was important then isn't anymore or some things are more important now but this would be the same in every country I'm sure if the same question was to be asked in any other country the answers would be the same. Everybody as some kind of regrets and thoughts of what ifs as they get older. And nothing is 100% perfect in any relationship ask the same question to the mrs and hopefully she wont hit you to hard
