With all restrictions of what people can buy I am wondering if it will and can work. In fact the only thing that can be done with the 10k is buying food and daily groceries on markets, and small shops...which are normally already more expensive than than the supermarkets.. and for the person in the story what do you do with 5 kilo sugar every day?? It is very bad for your health, or you have a business maybe?

The only problem is that there is no democracy in Thailand.. A few rule and pretend that it is a democracy, a hidden monopolistic system which will not accept that there will a change of their powers....And as normal in Thailand, they don't listen or want advice of foreigners as in Thailand they know best.... Dissolving MFP will be do more harm to the country than they can imagine, but that is the eyes of outsiders.. It will bring less stabile political system, which influence the economy in a negative way, it will bring unrest all ove rthe country which will have a negative impact on tourism and of course it will bring more poverty as a result.. Anyway it their country

A Thai company was involved in making the movie... they could not see what they were making?? Besides that.. Thailand is still not entering the 21st century with all outdated laws, rules, cars, and the way people think. No surely it is a mirror, but the truth hurts so maybe it is an opportunity to make changes instead of all the commotion. That will do much more harm to the tourists industry than let it go... Maybe it will attrack a lot of people to go on a vintage holiday destination

An undeveloped nation??? the truth hurts.. look on the laws and rules nowadays or several cars on the roads and way of thinking and behaving... Many times here is written that Thailand is still not in the 21st century.. And Apple be careful the makers of the movie can maybe get charged with defamation or criminal computer act or whatever stupid law to control the freedom of speech and writing

It is true , by talking about changes it doesn't mean that you have the intention to undermine the monarchy... A coup however is much more worse and that is always being accepted without consequences...But the whole process around the section 112 issues and constitution is done by false information as nobody is properly informed and the journalists did not do their job and investigated as in many other countries..... Here they say was is being dictated or written without looking further.. So the public opinion is being influenced in the wrong direction..And for the other culprit it is ridiculous that he lived in Dubai for so long as there were no consequences when he returned...Why did they let him come back?? Obvious he is already a new problem

Shameful Thailand with so many inactive generals who fill their pockets with doing nothing eating and drinking with their big salaries while the conscripts hardly get to eat... Even worse than in a government school...And that while so much money is going every year to the army... where is it going than..... Changes are very very needed.. It should be free and not being deducted... The army works for the country why do they have to pay for it??

He criticised government officials who continue to vape despite the e-cigarette ban, attributing them as a factor hindering the crackdown’s progress.
And not only them.. but also soldiers and army crew, RTP officers, teachers, and freely available on all markets all over Thailand.. Stop with all restrictions. make it just legal as in many others countries, but tax them more if you want them to stop and not allowed if you are under 18 or so.. Much better than forbidding things and not enforce them

"...As always, Thais can't take complaints".
As (almost) always, AN posters really cannot read, the owner said...
"The restaurant is open to constructive feedback and willing to make improvements, but the owner felt compelled to defend their business against false accusations".
the quote is correct.. Thais can't take complaints... look what you write constantly...always negative comments on others but never an own opinion about the subject..

It is too late already.. THaksin is granted too many privileges and he was always involved in the Pheu Thai. Withy the pardon and non jail terms and all the media attention if he is going somewhere or doing something it gives him the power behind the scenes and he keeps up saying he doesn't want to be PM. No of course not... This is more convenient let others do what he want and he can pretend that his hands are clean

If you run a business you have understand that there are always people who complain, but to make a legal action of it is over the top, but as everything in Thailand people think they are perfect, their business is a 6 star Michellin star establishment and comments are loosing face for them.. So stop with it if you can't accept critics and find a normal job. It just another case... hotels, restaurants shops.. everybody has such a long toes when they get comments

Includes me, and I'm not one bit sad
After I saw a few minutes of the opening ceremony and the tranny last supper I switched off.
I feel so sorry for the atheletes who have endured over the last four years to compete in one of the greatest competitions of all time to be dragged down to the level of that humiliating start to the event.
The Olympics has been taken over by the nutters in frocks who have nothing to do with the competition.
For me personal I did not even see it was the last supper....after the commotion I saw it, but for me it were just a group of people. Later the organization mentioned it was the last supper indeed.... but I don't understand why they had to do it like this. They are French and have always something strange. Anyway that is the show and for me The Games are the most important.

Indeed the Olympic Spirit is everywhere in Thailand... I only can't find it.... almost nothing on TV here on Aseannews or other newspapers..... Not in the shops in the streets or anywhere..... The sportsmen and women are unknown here and don't feel that the country is their fan... Nobody seems to be interested in it.. Very very sad...

Tourists simply don't appreciate the intense concern the Thai authorities have regarding their health and wellbeing.
They should be grateful.
Thai should better start with taking care of Thai instead of temporarily visitors....see the mote in someones eye?

Only these laws for foreigners as I have seen many Thai teachers, military, government officials and others vaping too... Even on the markets a lot of choice so why chase the foreigner and not the local people??
Pretending the hub of tourism, but with these action tourists who are vaping will choose another destiny, same as the people who like to drink a beer on the beach at 15.00 or so, and many others reasons.. Thailand is out

IT is easy if you can use a sickness or so for doing what you want.. no jailterm, free walk around in a country, big birthdayparties, and now holidays.. Happy it is refused. Thailand can do the same Mr Thaksin for you no need to go abroad

Government Takes Bold Steps Against Illegal Migrant Workers
in Thailand News Headlines

Maybe it should be easier to get a workpermit.... Now it is an endless paperwork for employer and employee..... So that is why many stop with the procedure and work illegal.... Why not introduce a workvisa?? just apply for it and you can work in almost every job...Much easier, but in Thailand all jobs are protected even prostitution although it doesn't exists....Foreigners are being limited or jailed almost in every job for not having a workpermit. Even volunteer work is impossible...Volunteer is without payment...and if people complain you can't even mown you own lawn........ Easy for people to blame but look at the reasons. I know for foreign teachers it can take up to 3 months before getting a workpermit and that is far too long
