i found a new way of getting food:
i lend money to the maid and she couldnt make it,
so she suggested she cooks breakfast for me.
the biggest advantage by a wide margin is i get my breakfast 7 am
as opposed to wait until 9 am for any resturant to open,
in addition i get my breakfast to my specifications,
that is, fried until brown and extra meat, with chilis
already in the food

You think you have the luxury of dissociation but you're wrong.
One will become president but unlike Las Vegas, what happens in America doesn't stay in America.
The entire world has a stake in this election for better or for worse.
im well aware of it, otherwise there is no way i would wish trump luck

Seen quite a few dogs in sidecars, grinning, ears flying behind in the wind, they love it and don't ever seem to want to jump out.
troe enough, but i ran into issues with a cat that somehow
got cat HIV according to the vet, sick as he was he so totally didnt want a ride.
that wasnt in a sidecar though, maybe he felt he didnt get the type of comfort he deserved

I think this is a good time to ask questions about the need for all that material "welfare" that we got used to.
that will be quantified in statistics of domestic violence,
suicide and so forth

I do not respond a lot about US politics , only sometimes when it get's over the top .
Dr Fauci is worldwide known as great specialist . His research is as good as it get's , and he won multiple rewards for it , from the medical world . On the other side there is supposed to be a selfmade billionaire , but selfmade isn't so selfmade if you got a lot of help from your rich father , and the billions so far aren't looking to good neither . Trump would do horrible in the science field . If the 2 speak , no matter what it would be about , i know who i would actually listen to what he has got to say .
both are senile, take it as such and listen to neither

That really irritates me - I can also meet the requirements - show 800,000 baht parked in a Thai bank, or 65,000 baht p/m transferred from abroad.
I'm not 50 + though ???? ... Why does one's age matter if it's only money?
I hope the BOI/SMART team do get this visa off the ground and don't make it too difficult to apply for.
cause we old folks have wisdom,
cest la vie in all fairness

I agree the WP as it stands is a can of worms and would not work for a Dig nomad. There would have to be a financial set up much like we have for retirement where they can open a bank account and must every 6 months to a year show a minimum amount of money going into the account.
The big plus that nomads like is that the cost of living is cheap the weather is great and the beaches are a great place to live and work.
i think its fine as it is, only us over 50 can get a proper visa

It's not the news of the protests, it's what they're likely to flash over to, in order to provide more context to understand why these protests are different than in the past.
News outlets operating in Thailand are not likely to flash over to unflattering content that would put them in violation of lese majeste laws. Like TVF, they have learned to self censor to stay out of trouble.
International news outlets make them twitchy because they cannot be counted on to self censor. They never know what those rascals are going to show next.
yeah, thats a logical explanation

politicians around the world can be said to have waged war on their own national economy, which they can or at least should be trialed for in court, thats embarrassing and so they are now trying to cover up the lunacy by double down with more lock down
to rationalize their irrational knee jerk reaction

Did it so many times already and never needed an agent. So why is your case so special?
im not a likeable person i think,
i also feel awkward when i have to ask for something, maybe that makes me awkward also
-
its when you hire an agent that the cost bumps up.
immigration and thai embassy made it an impasse
for me so i pay an agent 15k to get it done

You're mixing things up. They are still working, but have no customers due to the border being locked down. That's not happening in the West. They aren't under lock downs like we are.
Many people aren't going out because the virus is raging. Reduce the threat and people will go out again.
Tough times and no easy answers.
i cant speak for others, but for me the reason im not going to bars is because im not interested any more,
if i were, corona would be the least of my worries
COVID-19 is not going away soon or ever

just as precipitation, drought, fire, flood, hot and cold,
has been, are, and will be part of nature,
so too will death be part of life.
So far, sweden has not filled its yearly quota of deaths,
as to not be flooded by pensioners,
and it doesnt look like this year is going to be different from any other year, its biology.
the drama queens screaming murder are taking statistics out of context,
no different from the modus operandi of climate change influencers.
interestingly they are also using the same ad hominem attacks on 'deniers',
like fascists and denialists as a special reference to holy coast,
which may indicate its the same group
behind both campaigns
