Chinese tourists are now looking elsewhere as they see cheap mass tourism everywhere in Thailand. Even the middle class Chinese are put off. Allowing foreigners to stay longer, allow visa free for the whole world (including India, African countries) was a barbaric mistake that has left Thailand open to cheap mass tourists that have ruined the culture, beauty, environmental beauty of the place. Furthermore, the Benidorm British and draft dodging Russians who are staying here now longer have turned the place upside down into trashy party zones. Quality tourists are heading elsewhere for their sun and peace.

Is it just me or does anyone find it a bit strange we never really see images of the hell of the war ? With most wars you see awful images, videos, the fighting .... with this one, other than the odd drone incident, i rarely see anything. Maybe there is footage out there, but definately not mainstream. Where is the action videos ?

Ukraine has no Nukes. But it has enough to destroy some Russian cities too - if it came to a destruction process. Sad times.

Nonsensical argument. So what led Putin to annex Georgia? The west did nothing so felt embolded. Waited for the rite conditions didn't he. He's hurt Europe with the energy crisis, and calculated no way they would back Ukraine.
-
If they did that, Ukraine would face nuclear weapons, or large destructive weapons reigning down on their cities. The reality is Russia could dispose of Ukraine by unilaterally destorying it to peices and killing everyone, and probably Ukraine in retaliation has enough weapons to destroy some Russian cities. It would be mutual destruction. What then would be the point of the Russians invading Ukraine, if you've destroyed everything and left it in a mess. The cost of rebuild would be huge. If you nuclear bomb it, then you couldn't live there for decades - so what would have been the point ? I don't think anyone in Russia signed up for having Moscow or other cities destroyed either. Russians clearly miscalculated the strength of resolve from Europe to back Ukraine, and thought they could steam roller over new land. This was about a land grab. Nothing else.

So which part of your country would you give up if Putin came for it ?

Pattaya Bars Empty Amid Low Season and Shifting Tourism Trends
DonniePeverley replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
If you go to Pattaya and even look for some female entertainement you can't. The indians, by sheer numbers who want to engage in prostitution have taken that space over. Because of their huge numbers they can block book vulnerable Thai ladies into accepting their low offers for multiple men in one session. It's awful. If you are a women coming, who isn't a prostitute, you are likely to be morally destroyed if you encounter any indian men, who unfortunetly view any women there as prostitutes. Then there is the behaviour - blowing noses into swimming pools, letting children urinate into pools, washing their face in the pool - i've seen it. Holding up a queue in 7/11 because the whole family are dining out on a 7/11 cheese toastie. Don't get me wrong it's not just Indians, but for Pattaya it's an issue. Backpackers from the west, staying in hostels, are an even bigger issue. Thialand needs to ban hostels. -
Pattaya Beach Altercation: Rising Tensions Among Tourists
DonniePeverley replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
It's still better than asking a vulerable Thai women to go with 5 men for a discount. The Thai womens logic is that she may not get any customers tonight, so might as well take the offer of 5 men for the same price. It's horrific and degrading on a level i have never seen. Go up and down walking street and this is what alot of the indian men are asking, to go with the whole group. -

It's ruined Thailand. They can't go back now to save face. It would be like admitting this was a mistake. The whole point of erasing visas was to give tourism a stimulus, but tourist levels have returned to normal around the world - there was no need to give a pointless stimulus, that cost Thailand alot of money in waived visa fees. Then on top of that to pay for the crime, turning away better tourists etc -

I thought about going to Pattaya this weekend, but not going. It's basically been taken over by Indian tourists now. Had a weekend in Ho Chi MInh city instead. -

The 60 days is also being taken advantage of by Indians, Nigerians, Russians and Chinese too. Altogether meaning far more over crowding than what is normally seen in Thailand. -

Britain’s Leadership Crisis at a Time of Global Peril
DonniePeverley replied to Social Media's topic in World News
On a serious level, without debate ... to move to anywhere in Europe, America, is a dream for most of the less developed world, mostly for economic reasons. For you to say no Thai would want to move to the UK if they could ever be granted that opportunity shows what little knowledge you have of Thai culture. They don't go because the visa possibilities for them to be granted permission to even visit are very difficult. -

Tell me the issues you have with the UK. Furthermore just answer me this - ask any Thai if they would want to move to the UK and live there. Tell me why everyone would say yes? You knock the UK, but the freedoms and finances it has bought you has allowed to travel/live abroad in Thailand. Never forget that. -
Britain’s Leadership Crisis at a Time of Global Peril
DonniePeverley replied to Social Media's topic in World News
No one would be foolish enough to attack the UK or any of the other 6 nuclear powers. Even if the UK had no troops, simply the threat of nuclear weapons would deter virtually every country. Even if a fellow nuclear country wanted to attack the UK, it would be mutal destruction - so what would be the point ? -
Britain’s Leadership Crisis at a Time of Global Peril

My neice and nephew just enrolled in one of the most prestigious universities in the world in Warwick, doing law. No crippling fees for them, and even then a small fraction paid back once they start earning big. Free health care. Dentistry subsidised. Clean air. Relatively safe. Good job opportunies. Great countryside. One of thee best capital cities in the world. No country is perfect. It may have awful weather, it may not be doing well economically at the moment. But it's still a fantastic country and you should thank yourself lucky you were born there. You ask a Thai person if they want to go to move to the UK - 100% would bite your arm off.
