Luckily not directly involving me. But very ugly to see up close. Standard kicks to head when victim knocked unconscious on the ground. One extremely nasty situation was a thai boy beating up the waitress punching her in the face multiple times and golf ball sized welts forming. Petty theft is rampant. Shortchanging by clerks, taxis, convenience stores, electric bills. Bars padding bills and extorting customers with the threat of getting beaten up by drug addict guards. The scariest crime by far is the driving. Cars aiming for pedestrians like it is a sport. Zebra crossings should all be eliminated. I have been on the hoods of several cars as they accelerated into me as I was trying to cross the street. But I am still agile enough to take evasive action.

Another BMW thai driver played cat and mouse blocking my car and getting out with a lead pipe looking to assault me due to polite horn honking to let him know other drivers are on the road too and are concerned about eratic maniac driving displayed. After a few gyrations I reversed course and the situation calmed with no damage. The reason 10 thais come to bash a foreigner is due to enforcing the social class system. Immediate results to teach them they are inferiors. This should be on the glossy brochures for tourists to understand the futility of demanding their rights. Avoid confrontation. It will quickly be 10 against 1.

The weasel tuktuk driver parlayed his initial 600 baht theft into a much bigger payday with his edited filming and police station buddies. A designed, preplanned caper.
