The Thai authorities should be aware that the world is aware that in Thailand the law is not always applied and then again not applied even-handedly.
Who cares? The whole world will soon use Thai as their language. The world revolves around Thailand don't you know?

I'd have got out my phone and recorded the scene. And then told him that I'll make big trouble for him by reporting him to Channel 3 along with the video.
Great idea.
I was in BKK. She was at the Jomtien police station.
All 1.5 meters & 45 kilos of her.
She was trying to turn towards the beach on Threppasit Rd off Soi 4.
Traffic had stopped/backed up at the Sukh. light, but it also stopped for her so she could turn right. As she pulled around/in front of a big truck/lorry into the correct lane, a moto idiot came screaming around, passing the truck on the right and hit her driver's door.
He was illegaly passing/overtaking, speeding, had no insurance and no license.
Wife had license and insurance...and a farang name.
At least the moto retard broke his leg.

Incidentally a gang of the highwaymen was at work yesterday just before the Ambassador. They even had a spotter on a walkie-talkie to give the other robbers advance warning of approaching farangs.
My wife spotted them in time and we switched so she was driving.
They've been hanging out around there for YEARS.
I always drive in the slow lane, about 50 kph thru that area after I almost ran over an idiot, err...cop near there once
He came walking out of the median as I glanced in my left mirror. When I looked up again my right mirror missed him by about 4 inches.

Personally I read : Three others who were drinking on an adjoining table were let go as there was no evidence they were gambling.

Why does this get the headline:
"The creature from the Black Lagoon - no, just a skinny dipping Chinese woman out for a midnight swim".
The headline needs to be nothing more than "A skinny dipping Chinese woman out for a midnight swim".
I love the headline!

So, how does one play the Thai game "Dummy"?
Wake up every day, try to tie your shoes, & say, nah. I'll just wear flip-flops today.

Stellar reporting!
As somebody else already said, when did drinking at a friend's house become illegal?

Morons... Usually i'd expect Thais get a pass on stuff like this but as those in the frame here are wed to foreigners they'll be fair game for a proper shakedown that'll help justify the raid. Sigh ?
My wife (actually me), was shaken down for 10K baht once for a minor traffic accident, that wasn't her fault. I was miles & miles away.
The cop told her "You have farang name. All farang have big money. Must pay 10K baht or I make big problem for you".

If what he says is true, if the deceased was going for his gun to shoot and kill him , I wouldn't call that a "trivial" matter , also , the Police would have found him eventually and if it was self defence, they he may not have needed to evade the Police
Got a link to where the old man had a gun? I seem to have missed that part.
This happened at the FIL's place so the idiot was trespassing.....Though that does seem to be the root of the argument.
Old man had every right in the world to defend himself.

Can you read ??? Or did the bullets come out of his finger ??? .
Yes, they did come out of his finger when he (THE CRIMINAL) pulled the trigger.
The gun did not fire itself.

I reckon if there was no gun a big knife would be in the topic header...
Or a sword/machete/bat etc.

I thought they all used stiletto heels for boxing gloves?
I bet those real boxing gloves make it difficult to pick pockets.

Nice job . Was he brought up in the USA ? Now instead of getting some land hes got to share a cell with 50 other nutters for the rest of his life .
Why is the USA to blame?
I've been around guns all my life & I'm 50.
I'd guess I've lived all my life (that I spent in the USA) with a gun in the house.
Never, has it ever crossed my mind to kill anyone.
The gun did not DO IT!!!!!!!!
The crazy PERSON committed the murder! Not the gun!!!!
Maybe if the father-in-law had a .45 pistol or an AR-15 then the murderer would have backed down or never even considered the dastardly deed in the first place?

The lot should be put down, problem solved there but that still leaves about 4 million of the pests still at large on the streets
5 HUNDRED million.
Population of roughly 70,000,000 and figure 7 or so mutts per person.
That's being conservative.
Aren't there some starving kids somewhere in Africa that could use some protein?

I wish this were the only story in every Pattaya, BKK and every other news outlet concerned with Pattaya.
Would probably take a year or two, but they "might" start to address the issue.
Russians & Chinese don't seem to mind the pollution though.

She was robbed of 17,700 THB equivalent.
14,700 THB in Yuan and 3,000 in local currency. https://www.oanda.com/currency/converter/
Must've been that 20K she had to show at the airport minus taxi fare to Pattaya & a room.

You live on 1000 baht a month and you take in 70 dogs and then ask for help?
What tremendous sense of judgement she has.
The woman is good hearted but at the same time a menace to society. Euthanize the dogs and tell her she is not allowed to take any more in,
Dog responsibility will never happen in Thailand.
She probably thinks euthanasia refers to punk kids on motorbikes.

Reminds me of, err... a friend getting busted with his hand on some gals breast by his wife at a Pattaya bar once.
Bargirl? What bargirl?
Deny. Deny. Deny.
His wife drug him out by his ear.
Pattaya has barely seen the like of it since the infamous bust of the foreign bridge players in February last year
