Man dies after being stabbed in front of a shopping mall in Phuket Town

The article says the perp sped away with a gold necklace. Isn't that enough for you to go on for the time being? -
Bivalent Covid Vaccine in Thailand?
Hamus Yaigh replied to TravelerEastWest's topic in Health and Medicine
Excellent info @TallGuyJohninBKK thanks. -
I used them two months ago and again 10 days ago with my shipment currently in Thailand due to arrive tomorrow. This years shipments seem different to previous. Whereas previous seemed to be straight from Hong Kong to Thailand, now they seem to come via Singapore from Sweden and perhaps take about 5 days longer?

Bivalent Covid Vaccine in Thailand?
Hamus Yaigh replied to TravelerEastWest's topic in Health and Medicine
Like your comment said in Bangkok. All my previous web links don't seem to work anymore. The last time I got a booster was at Bang Sue train station when it was a free vax center. Where now are these free boosters being given? I thought the free services were suspended at end of Sept? -

Soil safety device installed at damaged Patong Hill
Hamus Yaigh replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
If the safety device goes off whilst someone is on the road, they just take their chances then? -
Same here as there was no other choice. I am not sure about 51% protection, seemed to make little difference to me after getting Zostavax and I have decided to use acyclovir antiviral pills that seem to work much better at start of any attack. I would try Shringirx if available, why is there no demand in Thailand vs other countries, are Thais immune to shingles?

Problems with a shared IMAP email account
Hamus Yaigh replied to Hamus Yaigh's topic in IT and Computers
Thanks guys. I am using Office Outlook LTSC 2021 ver and cannot see any option in settings for IMAP account where could define sync period or to remove emails off of server. From what I can see it should just sync with server 100% every time and I would expect all emails to stay on the server. I will check the other guys email client settings when I meet up again and maybe get to chat with the IT guy in charge of the server if I am really lucky. -
I have been given an IMAP email account to share with one other person doing the same job as me by a company. I would expect us both to see all incoming emails and sent mails to/from either of us - isn't that what IMAP is for? In my case I am noticing any emails older than 5 days are getting removed from server and no longer can be seen on my email app - I use Outlook but notice same on Windows Mail client or a generic web2mail interface where there are only newer emails in recent 5 days shown. Is this something the client server is deleting as I cannot seeing any settings in the client email apps to delete emails - and how should I be saving all in and out emails so I don't miss any even when I am not looking at them for periods of more than 5 days?

My take is they don't want you in their DHL offices. Maybe a result of WFH during the pandemic? I used DHL Express from home this week, it works great.

In order to apply for a visa to another country the agent needs me to verify my education certificate. I have a UK pp and live in Thailand. >> "You must take the original certificates along with a clear copy to a JP, Magistrates court or solicitors to have the copy “certified as a true copy of the original document” Can anyone recommend a good place to do this in Bangkok preferably in the Klong Toey area in English language please? Thanks

UK pp holder lives in Thailand on Non O retired extensions and never needed this before. Need a Police clearance to apply for visa to another country. Q1. I understand this is done only in Bangkok, is that correct? Q2. How long does it take? Whats it cost doing it yourself? The agent sites are asking 500USD so plan to do without agent using the Thai wife who is free! Q3. Presume its in Thai so needs a certified translation to English? Anyone done this and can give idea times involved?

TAT deserves this to turn and bite them where it hurts. Shameful. Russians should stay in Russia until they learn how to behave.

Pickup truck overturns, driver blames wet road
Hamus Yaigh replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
"driver blames wet road and says wasn’t his fault" If the reporting is true, block this idiot from ever driving again. I just paid my insurance premiums some of which go to numbskulls like this. -
Thailand 300 baht entry fee for tourists set to start in early 2023
Hamus Yaigh replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Sounds like a deal! I'll be flying in and plan to stay several years on my Non O extensions so that according to news I'll be "eligible for a maximum of 500,000 baht for medical expenses should they have an accident or fall ill". All for 300THB until I leave or die! Have I thought this through correctly?- 140 replies

I'm not in Rawai or even Phuket but we have gas delivery guys around our way. Just phone them up, they bring a full bottle, fit it and take the old.

OK, went during this week to Bangkok#3 DLC as a walk in. There is absolutely no point in booking an appointment on line as PJ71 says. No one was using an appointment system and there were no signs to separate appointed times only. One has to attend several counters and the physical tests room like everyone else walking in. There is now a very strict document check before you start the process. Once all docs are correct, the process was quite fast at first with no waiting queues, until one reaches the final counter where they take your photo and produce the license. This last counter took one hour queuing time as only one or two of the available counters had anyone manning them. Total time start to finish was 1hr 20m for me.
