TAT Adopts Cautious Approach to Visa Fee Waiver Scheme
Hamus Yaigh replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
To be expected. It would be sending mixed signals if they had free visas, but then applied tourist arrival taxes, multiple fold price increases on foreigners vs locals hidden in Thai script at Thai natural and historical sites as well as profiting from illegal war mongering countries tourists as no one else will have them. -
Let them adjust the prices as much as they like. Won't be going in one again until the rip off ends.

One would have to be a Fruitcake rather than a Pudding to question the morals of someone who thinks the killing of foreigners and pillaging of other countries is wrong?

>As Pat Cummins said, an anticlimax. Defo. The Aussies winning with a dodgy stump at Lords and the getting a draw at OT with rain whilst behind on the score card nothing to shout about. I expect the England team will stick it to them at he Oval to show their true skills, if it doesn't rain.

I wonder how the Thai's weigh the positives vs the negatives out of meetings like this?

Pita ordered to suspend doing his duties as an MP
Hamus Yaigh replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It doesn't matter about the shares in a worthless company he didn't even buy but were a hand me down. It could have been anything. There's more to it than that. The dinosaurs will always stop him until the dinosaurs become extinct.- 303 replies

Bangkok student’s offensive gesture triggers backlash

My apologies, I thought it was directly related to the video as it is linked to the exact same video in the story that the racist parents are commenting on. -

Here y' go, and for all others who cannot be bothered reading the link. Comes after "racist rant" I'll clue ya. "The mother of the student who uploaded the clip to Twitter defended her daughter before exploding into a racist rant. “This is not my daughter’s fault. She (the teacher) is a fool but dares to teach my daughter. Look at you, Ngo Pa (Negrito). My daughter told me about her. She said her teacher is stupid and should go back to the jungle.” -

But in this case the parents are racist, supporting the viral video, so it isn't as simple as that. -
I don't see any. Just common sense and decency than normal humans possess unlike recent visitors to the south.

I am curious as to what people can do on a Win7 PC these days? A cheap Android phone can be more productive? Win7 is nearly 14 years old o/s? I am guessing people on Win7 are just surfing the net, using office docs and maybe running some ancient 32-bit architecture software? Most of this won't work on latest Windows and you need Win11 not Win10. Make a back up of all your data (which you should do anyway) and then install Win11 fresh.

Help with TM 30 please
Hamus Yaigh replied to Magdalen's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
@Red Phoenix Appreciate the useful feedback on TM30's here. A quick question if I may as need to get my TM30 ducks in a row before going to CW next week? I last completed a TM30 online using the web site and the Android app about 3 years for the property I own and is my address. I have stayed on the same Non O extension since more than 10 years and since completing the TM30 traveled out/in on re-entry visas and sometimes spent a night or two in Thai hotels elsewhere using my passport that is about 6 years old. The police orders I read dated June 2020 pinned to this site, suggest based on above I do not need a new TM30. If I turn on the Section 38 Android app today, three plus years later since I input my data, it still shows my address at the top of the screen. Does this mean I am up to date in the eyes of CW or not with regards TM30? It should do as nothing has changed as far as my situation. Yet next week I have to go in to do a 90 day report as the online method was rejected, and I don't know why until I get there, so wondering if could be TM30 related? -
I notice on this web site there is a section called Laws, regulations, Police Orders, etc with various files to download - all good. However these links seem to be to from Asean Now server, so are these Police Orders posted on any official Thai police government site - anyone got the link for latest TM30 for example from some government source please?

The main con I see is why does the partner want to go into business with someone who knows nothing about the business?
