If I hadn't got my recovery certificate I would still do pre-departure e37 pcr test, when positive claim e100 per day from my travel insurance and have 2 weeks free holiday in europe. At all cost I would try to avoid 10 days at thai hospitel in a locked room, for which I would have to fork out $1-2k

Thai pass Sha+ Asq hotels
internationalism replied to Joejoejoejoe's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
yes, you can. you have sinsiri resort for 3500b (at renovation now, opening shortly), royal suite 3800b (if you lucky to get the cheapest room, which is not easy, probably just marketing trick), the green view 3850b. All those hotels are booked directly, after an initial contact through your site. The earlier mentioned seasons hotel is still listed on your website, but not possible to book there. They were pretty much unresponsive at the beginning of T&G, but now are gaining momentum and reply within 1h. Tomorrow after CCSA meeting I am planning to book them -
Another Thailand Pass "HACK"
internationalism replied to Dan747's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
from the previous reports - all those leaks are coming from the governmental thailand pass website, which is very basic (based on a free program from germany made some 10 years ago) and not secured (as admitted by authorities, which promise to upgrade it since November and later at expected closure 22.12-4.01). No hacker will go after multiple small agents. They would have to target each one. There was one example when an australian visa applicant also received spam - that's because the whole foreign ministry server, serving all consulates around the world, is compromised. Very similar what was happening with pre-registration for vax the last year. With the same foreign ministry running very similar basic and unsecured websites. -

Can they force me into hospital if i test positive?
internationalism replied to joeshmoe23's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
only emirates will take positive. Still, for thailand you need to take pre-departure pcr test. Recovery certificate needs to be issued minimum 14 days before flight. Can be backdated - explain to dr why you need it. Show recovery at every step of journey. Even now to airline, so no surprises at check in. Even to hotel, and ask to forward to their associated hospital. In thailand they would let home. -
first should be dropped for all sportsmen (not mentioning on motorbikes, where it's outright dangerous and deadly). I am all for wearing masks in public places. A lot of people do have acute and chronic upper respiratory infections - drinking iced fluids, putting air con at max setting, smoking and living a highly polluted areas, using chilli and other sauces for frying, burning rubbish next to their homes to remove mosquito and the other insects. They are infected with different pathogens, bacteria, viruses, fungus. Their ignore their symptoms and health service doesn't offer good solution

Richard is married and with kids (as I recollect). But I don't remember seeing their families photos. For some reason, maybe just privacy -
Thai pass Sha+ Asq hotels
internationalism replied to Joejoejoejoe's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
the cheapest are when you book directly with hotel. Cheapest 3600b seasons hotel near victory (not listed anymore on asq.in.th, but you can contact them directly). usually no cancellation, but free date change. I have tried to look agoda many times, but always decided to book directly -
change hotel reservation and apply for w new pass. You should do it sometimes before 16.03 when you realised you can't do your planned flight. At the same time you can send email or call to speed up your application. You can explain the old pass "In case of emergency travel, please send your request / supporting documents to [email protected]" their 24h support landline 006625728442. Might wait for 1h or call them night time

if your destination country doesnt require (and i you dont fly through singa) you need only vax certificate, no tests. That was pretty much situation for very long. check any restrictions here. The most up to dated site https://apply.joinsherpa.com/travel-restrictions

How are Russians avoiding sanctions in Thailand?
internationalism replied to Pravda's topic in General Topics
the majority were not just tourists coming for 2 weeks holidays. They expected war and run away. So they planned for funds. If they are digital nomads, traders, freelancers they do have experience how to not rely on only one source of income -

Help Young Expat Hit with Stage 4 Cancer
internationalism replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News Headlines
I think you have inpatient only. Outpatient is obligatory, added on top of inpatient. Those needing cancer care, dialysies and similar, would stay for the whole day treatments. It's counted as inpatient and would be covered by insurance. That what I have read in insurance and health sub-forums -
Help Young Expat Hit with Stage 4 Cancer
internationalism replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News Headlines
yes, private hospital offering false hopes, in process making big money. The best cancer care is in the USA. Patients from all over the world travel there, not to Thailand. Instead of relying of a thai private hospital importing very expensive medicine at $5200 month, paying hight import charges, might be worth to get to USA and buy there stock for several month. That's what patients do if they can't travel to the USA for a treatment. In india there might be a generic one, for a fraction of thai or the usa price. -
russians and ukrainians were coming in large quantities because they wanted to escape war and conscription. It was obvious that this trend won't last. But many would stay for longer, if they can get those promised visas. As to koreans - despite strong omicron there for the last few weeks (with over 400k infections daily over the last days), they are planning to lessen travel restrictions, same as thai are doing. So some part of those 2mln coming pre-covid would be returning later this year. Also singaror is liberalising is just a short flight away. Malaysian land border opens in April. There is a light at the end, not necessarily for tourists, but businessmen, traders and by thai people themselves starting to travel in for family reasons, holidays. This month there were already 200k incomers, with removal of 5th day testing can get some 400k in the whole March. Do blame stupid policy of 5th day testing, which lasted over 2 months and stopped high season tourism.

COVID-19 Policy Holders Protest against Default
internationalism replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News Headlines
from 15.02 rules for hospitalisation have changed, only those over 39C for a minimum 24h and those with over 25 breaths per minute are taken, also those in risk groups. Rest do isolation or self-isolation. For hospitels they keep only 7 days now (if they have space at all), with 3 days in self isolation. My claim was yet in february, I have chosen hospital, instead of hospitel, so to be sure my 2 covid policies will be activated. One policy has payed 50k for medical care, but not remaining 90k for hospital room, food (anyway, cover from them was only for 100k). My friend who works as a nurse and dealing with insurance at a private hospital is convinced policies will be paid, but with delay -

Help Young Expat Hit with Stage 4 Cancer
internationalism replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News Headlines
stage 4 is the last one, terminal. It's not possible to treat. For lung and brain chances are only up to 1 year. https://www.verywellhealth.com/lung-cancer-spread-to-the-brain-symptoms-and-diagnosis-2249331#:~:text=Brain metastases occur in stage, people to extend their lives. -
it's english language publication so the majority are foreigners. Obviously, they are all for opening borders, but majority of thai don't need to travel, are also not dependent on tourism or international trade. Each see their interests differently. The things they are now (some 100k entered within the first 2 weeks of March) are good enough and would be liberalised every month. Tourists will have to wait till second part of year, just for summer holidays and for high season after wet monsoon
