  1. any doctor at the nearest hospital. it's not a lymphatic node.
  2. there would be much less russian speakers, when charted flights stop flying at the beginning of hot season. Around mid March. Half empty flights and bus tours (as I have spotted) can't be sustained outside season. They are coming all the time, but don't stay for months. Just a few weeks holidays on package tours. Yes, they were coming in large quantities since november 2021 (test&go), yet before war has started, but for most of them visa is an issue.
  3. I have just spend several days at Jomtien, my hotel was empty, I came accross only several guests. Parkings at neaby hotels empty. Very few lights from rooms at night, less than 10%. I have looked at one of hotels for future stay - I have seen only one room rented. Empty side street restaurants. But many shoppers at food markets in the evenings, all tables taken. The majority are Russians speakers. They won't stay long - they likely came on charter flights for 2 weeks. Tour buses taking them half empty
  4. no, but you have several police neighbours, including police general, from whom you bought your house. Just ask them for help at the next lunch. They don't charge that much for their services
  5. but he is not associated with pheu thai at all and the red shirt's UDD, which he used to lead, is not active since 2014. He is a turncoat, cobra, traitor - non of thaksin supporters would even blink at election time. Those undecided would switch to future forward. If he really wants to be as radical as he tries to portrait himself now, he can join protests in support of political prisoners, reform of judicial system
  6. But UDD was not active at all since the coup in 2014. Jatuporn switched politically to military side a long time ago, at least around elections in 2019 (he supported in chiang mai a candidate running against pheu thai). In 2021 he joined with the core yellow shirts a campaign to oust Prayuth. Possibly they were just acting for Prawit (around that time an open conflict within junta started, culminating in censure debate in september 2021, when Thammanat tried to backstab Prayuth). Jatuporn is a royalist, for a long time he dons "904" hair style, him mentioning october 1976 student massacre shows, that he is on establishment side. His statement do support such massacre in the future against opposition, and especially student and youth pro-democracy movement. As much as pro-democracy movement hates Thaksin, it would be them on the streets opposing any authoritarian moves by the military and it would be them jailed and killed. But I think Thaksin wont dare to come back yet and he is teasing Prayuth, who is foaming at his mouth
  7. They have to be uploaded to the cloud first. People do it as a back up. But she and her friends didnt have time to do so, they were forced on the spot.
  8. All those contradicting stories come from police itself, they are given to media at press conferences. We can only comment on what media reported. If police was clean they would not change their story every day and they would make public cctv recordings, to support their side. They are under pressure from Prayuth, who is trying to force them to come up clean. That taiwanese actress has made another social media post lashing at police for fabricating all those stories
  9. She claims all group was held at police station for 2h and she was forced to apologise to police on her knees. She was taken to the side room where she was asked to hand her money, which she had on her. That was outside cctv, which are in the reception area of police station. As she and her friends were trying to record this incident on their mobiles, they were stopped doing so and their videos were deleted. That is illegal by police to do so, but happens all around the world. Now police have to come up with their cctv, they have plenty cameras everywhere. So far they have refused to make them public, so that makes them suspects
  10. So all story about vaping equipment and even about vaping by her in a taxi, bag and body search, as well as all group being drunk, was made up by police spokesman. Looks, like they make up stories as they move along. Each mass media statement is different and contradictory to the previous one. She was singled out and extorted for not having a proper visa, because police were not familiar with visa on arrival, which is probable not common but perfectly legitimate. Her revelations surely will be shared on chinese mainland social media, because they share the same language If somehow interpol is involved, as she claims, that would give more credibility to her story. Interpol cant do anything in such trivial cases, but fact she talked to them will undermine thai police and possibly will force Prayuth to take a stronger stance in that case (the general election is coming and the general want"s to be somewhere at the top), so he must be seen as doing something good now
  11. In the whole article he never said "crazy" or anything even remotely similar. he said "step in the right direction". and those vax are not goingbto be given away to tourists. There is already published price list, around 1300b for pfizer and moderna. he is wrong, that many countries are implementing strong anti-covid measures. Some few countries have pre-arrival pcr for chinese (thailand has compulsory insurance for chinese and indian). There nothing can be done to stimulate domestic travel, unless public money is spend (and wasted, partly on deeply corrupted projects). Asking for more is just pouring public money into private pockets. he is filthy rich, and still begging for the government handouts. He is entitled to pilfer country dry. His yellow tie says about his political affiliations. Certainly he is a monarchist.
  12. Yes, but that brand is from the usa, brought in large quantities as food supplement. In family size boxes 500. the one in pharmacies is only 10 pills and graded as a medicine, not supplement, likely higher excise duty. They don't sell that many, so high retail price. yet it's same substance, just in different form
  13. NAC capsules might be 5-6b, but still much cheaper than pills from pharmacy for around 14b (that one is imported, germany)
  14. She is a taiwanese actress. Taiwan is much more westernised than mainland. Look at first names in hong kong. Probably also more westernised, than thailand. As with artists, they have such habit, if perform internationally or have some international following. Very many young generation thai do have english nickname. More likely in bangkok and large cities. you are deflecting discussion trying to black name her and trying to defend thai police
  15. They just put more oil on flames. Despite some top immigration commander trying to whitewash this escorting enterprise, prayuth stepped in with an investigation and punishment. He has to act now before incoming elections. Back to normal impunity after he secures his post for another 14 uears.
  16. Each press story is different, changing over time in a very typical thai fashion involving police and people in authority. some report she was openly vaping. if such, most probably she was not aware of ban of vaping. It's a very questionable law, likely pushed by tabacco industry (which I would imagine is highly monopolistic, similar to alcohol brewing and licesing). She be repealed. thai people are vaping openly everywhere, police don't bother them at all. so she was singled out because she looked as a foreigner, another xenophobic act which originates from the very top of ruling class. the most she should be given a warning. as to her visa, some reported that she produced her passport (which is strange as only a very small minority carry any documents on their nights out). Possibly she had a copy on her smartphone and cops suspected fake, as they might be not much familiar with visa on arrival. likely the prime minister will, once again, clear this story by his special power as a head of some police commission (in a fashion different to koh tao double murder in 2014, when he accused victims of provoking murder).
  17. So now not vaping equipment in her bag, but openly vaping? if such, most probably she was not aware of ban of vaping. It's a very questionable law, likely pushed by tabacco industry (which I would imagine is highly monopolistic, similar to alcohol brewing and licesing). She be repealed. thai people are vaping openly everywhere, police don't bother them at all. so she was singled out because she looked as a foreigner, another xenophobic act which originates from the very top of ruling class. the most she should be given a warning
  18. Vitamin clinics are popular in europe for many years. Not sure if such clinics are in thailand. you can get vit c 500mg in vials for injection. Boxes 50 vials at large pharmacies. You will need somebody, preferable a nurse, who will inject. My friend was doing once a week. NAC 600mg capsules cheap on lazada in big family boxes for around 3b per capsule. You can get nebulisator for around 2500b or some second hand and do it at home at any time. For what purpose are you going to use them?
  19. Flights from china to milan were some 50 % positive, that just 4 weeks ago. true numbers for positive chinese arrivals are in thousands. Many of them are coming on indirect flights, as there are yet very few direct ones. Nobody is checking vax certificates and nobody is wearing masks inbound to thailand. That suppose to be conditions set at the beginning of January
  20. So police admitted that they used pretekst to extort large money, if just a warning or small fine would be more apprapriate. To allow them for body and bag search, they questioned legality of her visa. They have planned from the very beginning to frame her for anything they can. As with this escorting chinese tourists to pattaya, thai social media are putting strong pressure on police. That is only why authorities have to react. The government knows that they have to show off before election ballot. Heads will be rolling now in those 2 cases.
  21. Surely on her social media post she put police station name, exact timing. Station commander should investigate that case. And the case of 5 female koreans who were there at the same time. Just to clear police name. There should be some police record and cameras can be checked. Those social media posts might be shared in mass, translated. And it's thai who share those posts. That shows that they do believe such story and are afraid something similar can happen to themselves. Thaiwanese are using chinese language, chance of spreading this story to mainland china social media is high
  22. There are also those who entered multiple times within the last year. Say businessmen, traders can easily make 5 trips, even long haul intercontinental journeys. But there is no way to exclude those trips, even of they are coming on business visa. There are also those doing angkor wat short trips and those expats doing border runs by air, say to vietnam, singapore, kuala lumphur (there are no more covid extentions)
  23. I cant believe that from 6th february travel agencies will be able to bring that many package tours and that they are already sold. As package tours are rock bottom prices it takes time to properly organise them - getting flights full (mainly charters), as well as getting full big hotels, tour buses etc. As of December there were only 14 direct flights from china, some of them weekly (not daily). That 30% is rather projection for the next months and not what is happening right now. Sales will be organised for February, that would mean tours would be coming at the end of season and off season, which is from middle of March till July. But covid situation in china itself is not clear. Those package tours might never materialise, if Thailand will put some restrictions, like pre-arrival PCR or china will put similar rules as retaliation. Chinese citizens have to apply for their passports, as they were not issued for 3 years. They also need insurance to thailand, that requirement might last past January
  24. Those malaysians are not high spenders, as they come rather for weekend cross border shopping spree, than extended holidays. They are not tourists per se. They would come often and boost statistics. I would think similarly travellers from singapore come for short trips. As to india, they would be slowed by insurance entry requirement and by the pcr pre-departure test on return. Not only 2-4k baht per test, but getting positive means lost airfare and some 7 days additional stay in thailand, and the second test. That is risky for mass tourists planning only an average 10 days stay. That requirement might last till end of January, but until its abandoned, there would be decrease in numbers. Lets see how covid situation in china develops. Still not clear. If prolonged wave and some new variants, thailand might follow suit of some countries and require pre-departure pcr. Thailand might well see 25mln this year, but certainly needs to streamline immigration lines at BKK. At times both immigration halls are full and waiting time minimum 30 minutes
  25. Wholemeal, also rye instead of wheat, would be better. Even freshly baked over toast bread (that one is poor quality, has many preservatives). Still, all not sweet bakeries, are better than white rice (the black one is not popular, and hence expensive). I treat bread rather as an emergency than part of a regular daily diet and buy it only occasionally, when shopping every few weeks at makro or if visiting continental bakery run by friend. So I would freeze or dry it, to be used, when not enough vegetables, many of which also have carbohydrates. Dry bread can be soften in rice cooker, on top of boiled rice, I would sprinkle with some water.
