  1. After the movie Gang Chanee Gap Eabb pointed to the 'gay' mannerisms which apparently betray and expose eaab (closest gays who hide behind women to pretend they are straight).

    ...

Pantongtae holds his chin in hand, with pinky pointed upwards, is the same way a typical eabb will hold his chin.

Apparently the movie regards this mannerism as one way of telling that you have an eabb in your midst.

And, if i may ask, what has Panthongtae's sexuality to do with anything, especially the thread topic?

I dont know if this is true or not, but a psychologist once told me that an eabb might be the result of an unloving father. This could be BS. but I suspect Thaksin was a poor father. He couldn't have the time for fatherhood with all the business & greasy politics in his life. I heard the boy was on drugs... children often turn to drugs because lack of parental love and guidance. I never saw a happy photo of the poor rich kid.

  2. By Thich Nhat Hanh, HOU, p3

(Meditations on a sheet of paper)

If you are a poet, you will see clearly that there is a cloud floating in this sheet of paper. Without a cloud, there will be no rain; without rain, the trees cannot grow; and without trees, we cannot make paper. The cloud is essential for the paper to exist. If the cloud is not here, the sheet of paper cannot be here either. So we can say that the cloud and the paper inter-are. "Interbeing" is a word that is not in the dictionary yet, but if we combine the prefix "inter-" with the verb "to be", we have a new verb, inter-be. Without a cloud, we cannot have paper, so we can say that the cloud and the sheet of paper inter-are (p.3)

The fact is that this sheet of paper is made up only of "non-paper elements." And if we return these non-paper elements to their sources, then there can be no paper at all. Without "non-paper elements," like mind, logger, sunshine and so on, there will be no paper. As thin as this sheet of paper is, it contains everything in the universe in it (p.5)

  3. To add to my other post, after you done that get some monks over to the shop for a blessing ceremony, and follow it up with an astrology reading to make sure its all over. Ask the mor doo doang (astrologer psychic fellow) some general future question (will business be ok). Thais love this kind of stuff.

  4. Thats pretty cool, Doug.

I just did a google on PALI ENGLISH DICTIONRY and the first entry that came up was an online version of the most famous PED by Pali Text Society. I mean to say that it is already available, but it doesn't have voice recordings as you propose. There is also font info on this website if you're interested. Cheers.

  5. Once you make a copy, its as good as original, coz what they do at Microsoft as well, i.e. using the copies of original.

Only the original gives you a warm fuzzy feeling that you did the right thing...... copies don't give you that feeling. At least in my experience :o I don't care what the rest of you do.

I'd like to add that there is a lot of good freeware and 60day trial software that can be used legally, without having to pay for it... if you want to go down this road.
