  1. On the basis of the familiarity with the American system of justice, I certainly have a better claim to be an American than you do. Of course, it may be that you equate being an American with being ignorant about how the American government functions.. By that metric, you certainly qualify with flying colors.
  2. Before a grand jury gets involved, the Justice Dept has to decide if there's enough evidence to present to one. If you were an American you would know this.
  3. Yes, doubtless, in local jurisdictions that the case. But the Justice Dept is not some enforcement agency from Podunk. Any person from the USA should know that. In light of that, it seems dubious that you are an American. Not that it matters. Ignorance is a phenomenon independent of borders.
  4. Under socialism "they" would be the workers who would dictate what could be produced. Under the Nazis it was Nazi officials and industrialists who collaborated. As for Russia, once again, it wasn't the workers who had any say. To cover that up, the Bolsheviks justified their rule by calling it a Dictatorship of the Proletariat.
  5. Were the Nazis Socialists? Were the Nazis socialists? No, not in any meaningful way, and certainly not after 1934. But to address this canard fully, one must begin with the birth of the party. https://www.britannica.com/story/were-the-nazis-socialists
  6. Another clueless generalization to deflect away attention from the fact that when it comes to interviewing those he supports, Carlson is toothless.
  7. For a case to be presented to al grand jury, there has to be sufficient evidence to show that a crime has been committed. Try as they might, the Republcans could uncover no evidence of no actual crime being committed by Biden.
  8. Actually, National Socialists allied themselves with big business and stifled workers' rights. Much like Trump is planning on doing with his new tech bros.
  9. If you could establish that a criminal act had occurred, then that photo might count as evidence against Biden as showing intent. Republicans tried and failed to turn up any criminal activity. Whereas with Trump, there is actually written evidence authorized by Trump that showed he lied to cover up his possession of highly classified documents.
  10. I think critics are being very unfair to Trump. Perhaps, his goal is to unite most of the world including those that historically up to the presently have been at odds with each other. This would be no small achievement. Of course, he'll be uniting them against the United States
  11. By cutting taxes? How many times have right-wingers claimed that tax cuts will pay for themselves through increased economic growth? That nonsense began with Reagan and the claim has repeatedly been proven false.
  12. Republicans tried and tried to find any evidence of any corrupt transactions. They repeatedly failed. Couldn't even get enough votes for an impeachment. As evidence, that photo would be laughed out of court.
  13. I wonder why right-wingers create stupid insults barely disguised as stupid questions.
  14. Here's another quote from Trump about H-1b visas. Looks like it could have been written by a less rabid version of Steve Bannon: "The H-1B program is neither high-skilled nor immigration: these are temporary foreign workers, imported from abroad, for the explicit purpose of substituting for American workers at lower pay. I remain totally committed to eliminating rampant, widespread H-1B abuse and ending outrageous practices such as those that occurred at Disney in Florida when Americans were forced to train their foreign replacements. I will end forever the use of the H-1B as a cheap labor program, and institute an absolute requirement to hire American workers first for every visa and immigration program." https://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/statement-donald-j-trump-position-visas
  15. Around the time I was 11 or 12, I remember being introduced in school to a word by the name of "metaphor".Although even without knowledge of that word, only the most obtuse schoolchild would construe literally the phrase ""civil war"in the context it was used above. Looks like it's time for you to hit the books again.
  16. And as usual you have offered no analysis, just an empty assertion. You've still got it...it being nothing.
  17. Donald Trump claimed that this legal program hurt hundreds of thousands of American workers. I guess to your way of thinking the alleged dismal economic fate of those Americans is of little importance compared to the criminal conduct of 1 person. I think your indifference to the economic well-being of American workers provides pretty strong evidence that you are not an American. Certainly not a patriotic one. Of course, that wouldn't matter if your arguments were germane. But all you've got is that because the H-1b program is legal, therefore it's OK no matter how many American workers it may harm.
  18. If you're referring to the question that contains an assumption about my nationality... First off, it's facts and rationality offered by someone that count. Not nationality. In addition, your question features the same kind of faulty thinking that underlines this famous example of a faulty question: When did you stop beating your wife? You seem to have a predilection for faulty thinking.
  19. Et tu, Breitbart? Here's a quote from Trump featured in a Breitbart article: “We graduate two times more Americans with STEM degrees each year than find STEM jobs, yet as much as two-thirds of entry-level hiring for IT jobs is accomplished through the H-1B program,” Trump wrote. “More than half of H-1B visas are issued for the program’s lowest allowable wage level, and more than eighty percent for its bottom two. Raising the prevailing wage paid to H-1Bs will force companies to give these coveted entry-level jobs to the existing domestic pool of unemployed native and immigrant, instead of flying in cheaper workers from overseas. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2024/12/28/president-elect-donald-trump-i-have-always-been-in-favor-of-h-1b-visas/ There are more quotes where that came from.
  20. One of those hardhitting interviews where Carlson scrupulously challenges the facts offered by his guests? "Russian strongman Vladimir Putin told an excellent Russian TV journalist what a joke Tucker Carlson is. Putin told Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin that he expected Carlson to ask some tough questions and be aggressive, not weak. The Russian President expected Carlson to assert himself more and provide a better platform for discussion." https://boingboing.net/2024/02/15/post-interview-putin-trashes-tucker-carlson.html Putin Humiliates Tucker Carlson After Interview
  21. The lesser of 2 evils. It used to be that Trump thought a program wrong that affected hundreds of thousands. Yet something that's less serious than Biden reneging on his promise? A promise that affects one person? It isn't only young Americans who haven't been properly educated in arithmetic.
  22. More nonsense about my alleged nationality. Ignorance and obtuseness have nothing to do with nationality. What don't you understand about the simple proposition act that just because something is legal that doesn't make it justifiable? Or do you think that all the various programs and practices enabled by laws passed in the first 2 years of the Biden administration are justifiable because they are legal?
  23. The question you should be pondering is if some practice is legal does does that make it moral and or ethical? It used to be legal to own slaves. Does that mean it was morally or ethically correct? Don't look to Donald Trump for guidance. He says he's a believer n the H-b1 program, that he used it many times, and he also believed that he shouldn't be allowed to use it.
  24. "In a 2016 primary debate, Trump spoke about the H-1B visa program and said it was “very bad” and “unfair” for U.S. workers. “First of all, I think and I know the H-1B very well. And it’s something that I frankly use and I shouldn’t be allowed to use it. We shouldn’t have it,” he said." https://apnews.com/article/trump-truth-social-business-visa-h1b-51c5a41faff696709a2d2cc6ec4e2695 Trump sides with Elon Musk in H-1B visa debate, says he's always been in favor of the program "I've been a believer in H-1B. I have used it many times. It's a great program," he was quoted as saying." https://www.reuters.com/world/us/elon-musk-vows-war-over-h-1b-visa-program-amid-rift-with-some-trump-supporters-2024-12-28/ Apparently, Trump has always been a believer in a program he believed he shouldn't be allowed to use.
