Despite which, his forces were stopped when Ukraine was still at a huge materiel disadvantage. Now that things are being equalized, we see big Russian retreats everywhere. Once anti-missile systems are in place, any edge Russia has will be gone.

I did try a search myself. And I had no more success in finding anything about UK wages in the Depression than apparently did you.

The thing is, if banks have serious enough suspicions about a money transfer, they can actually refuse to perform it.

Large overseas wire transactions are routinely flagged by banks. Any amount $10,000 and over has to be reported to the Federal govt. It's not at all clear whether these transfers being flagged are significant. Even if the allegations against Hunter and James Biden prove to be true, to date no one has found a nickel of illicitly earned money by Biden.

I don't think that's a likely prospect. He may end up being worth only 50 -100 billion if twitter disappears and his 56 billion baht salary evaporates. Still, I am concerned for him.

Without Russian military incompetence and corruption this war would have been finished long ago.

But what it doesn't have is UK wage information. Governments or monetary agencies have to decide to compile statistics. Maybe they just didn't bother to do it back then.
