  1. Giving the current response to the economic crisis, I'd say yes. At least that's the case with his government
  2. But not providing it to residents of the UK. And if the UK government wants to pay my travel expenses for me to visit Ukraine to provide Ukrainians with moral support I will accept the assignment without hesitation.
  3. Trump team likely sought to conceal classified docs at Mar-a-Lago, DOJ tells judge The 36-page filing was the department’s most detailed account yet of its evidence of obstruction of justice, raising concerns that Trump and his attorneys sought to mislead investigators about the sincerity and thoroughness of their effort to identify and return highly sensitive records to the government. “The government also developed evidence that government records were likely concealed and removed from the Storage Room and that efforts were likely taken to obstruct the government’s investigation,” Justice Department counterintelligence chief Jay Bratt wrote. “That the FBI, in a matter of hours, recovered twice as many documents with classification markings as the ‘diligent search’ that the former President’s counsel and other representatives had weeks to perform calls into serious question the representations made in the June 3 certification and casts doubt on the extent of cooperation in this matter,” he added. https://www.politico.com/news/2022/08/30/trump-justice-department-filing-warrant-00054319 It seems clear that Trump's attorneys lied. Seems unlikely that they would do that in any way other than at Trump's behest.
  4. I don't see what this has to do with BJ's neglecting his duties after he announced that he would resign. Obfuscating much?
  5. Although they do see his enjoying an extended disregard of the obligations of office during a time of economic crisis as not running the country.
  6. Cherry picking much? The aggregate polling average at fivethirtyeight.com has Biden at 42% https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/biden-approval-rating/?cid=rrpromo
  7. Pruitt pleaded guilty in June to obstructing an official proceeding, and federal sentencing guidelines suggested 51 to 63 months in prison, in part because he has a lengthy criminal history, including assaulting police, cocaine possession and drunken driving convictions. https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2022/08/29/dc-proud-boy-pruitt-schumer-sentenced/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wp_politics
  8. If ever there was a non-partisan Attorney General it's Ashely Brook Moody Ashley Brooke Moody (born March 28, 1975) is an American attorney and politician serving as the Florida attorney general since January 2019. During her tenure as Florida attorney general, Moody has supported lawsuits to invalidate the Affordable Care Act, advocated against restoration of voting rights for former felons, and opposed the legalization of recreational marijuana. Moody was a significant surrogate of then-President Donald Trump in Florida during the 2020 presidential election, and joined in the Texas v. Pennsylvania lawsuit, which sought to overturn the results of the election. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashley_Moody
  9. You could just as well have written... And even with all the Sunak diatribes regarding our Liz, she will still be in the big seat. But what's the point of either formulation?
  10. I forgot to mention that covid's unexpected resurgence also contributed to inflation. I guess that is still something of a wild card.
  11. That was a different kind of inflation. Back then, the US economy was far more dependent on petroleum. Natural gas prices in the US, while high, are not near the levels they've reached in Europe. More importantly there is a problem with supply as an aftershock of covid. Still, those supply problems seem to be in decline so inflation should go down too. It doesn't seem that interest rates need to be raised to anywhere near the level that they were raised to back in 1981.
  12. The core inflation rate was 5.9% in July. It has been declining but still that's high. So it looks like Powell will have to raise rates again.
  13. The Justice Dept did show probable cause to the Federal Magistrate. Which is what the 4th Amendment specifies. "The right of the people to be secure in their persons , houses , papers , and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." https://ij.org/issues/ijs-project-on-the-4th-amendment
  14. I don't understand the point of the subject posed as a question. Does Thailand have some sort of special relationship with Putin that differs from that of most other nations?
  15. It's truly bizarre that Truth Social is supposed be dedicated to free speech yet it's headed by a guy who has posted a truly impressive number of failed defamation lawsuits. Because, you know, free speech... Devin Nunes Drops SLAPP Case He Lost Against Guy He Claims Is The Husband Of The Satirical Tweeting Cow Who Mocks Him Last month, we wrote about how Devin Nunes had lost yet another of his many, many SLAPP suits against various critics online for being mildly critical of the former congressman, who seems to have the thinnest skin imaginable. As you’ll recall, Nunes’ chronic SLAPP infatuation began a little over three years ago with a lawsuit against a satirical online cow who mocked him. While most people don’t realize it, that lawsuit is still going on (other defendants, namely Twitter and Liz Mair have gotten out of it), but technically the suit against the cow lives on, in part because Nunes and his lawyer, Steven Biss, have claimed they’re unable to identify the cow. 16. We know that Trump's team practiced stalling tactics because his legal motions that would have delayed investigations even more almost invariably were dismissed out of hand. Whereas the Justice Dept wants to file a brief that would pulverize the bizarre inclination of the judge to impose a Special Master.
  17. You think with an apparent abundance of evidence against Trump. the FBI filter team is going to jeopardize their investigation by passing along privileged information to investigors? Ya got some proof of that?
  18. You seem to forget that for most homeowners, most of your charging will be done at home.
  19. You must be a very recent investor. Or an unusually unlucky one. https://www.google.com/search?q=s%26p+500&oq=s%26p+500&aqs=chrome..69i57.10823j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  20. I think it's safe to assume that you are making a tendentious assumption. You've got nothing.
  21. Trump makes inflammatory statements and then asks if there's anything he can to do calm things down. Because it's not obvious that making inflammatory statements is not the way to calm things down? And to go on making such statements is not the way to calm things down?
  22. I see you believe in some sort of ultra priviliged world where there are folks who know what's really going to occur Like a virus is going to be resurgent and that there would be war in Ukraine.
  23. ngtonpost.com/politics/2022/02/07/trump-records-mar-a-lago/ You didn't note this paragraph: "But personnel familiar with recent administrations said the Trump era stands apart in the scale of the records retrieved from Mar-a-Lago. One person familiar with the transfer characterized it as “out of the ordinary. … NARA has never had that kind of volume transfer after the fact like this.” And you'll note it says "administrations". It doesn't say Presidents. It did note that Bill and Hillary had to return gifts they shouldn't have taken. What the article didn't note was that Trump violated the law by by not submitting a report about what foreign gifts had been given to the White House. So I guess we'll never know what gifts he helped himself to.
