  1. Actually, the poll shows Trump with a 49% job approval and the 51% disapproval https://www.foxnews.com/politics/fox-news-poll-trump-republicans-record-high-ratings-democrats-falter
  2. Which is why the world economy has shrunk to nothing since Fiat currency became the norm? At least, that's apparently the case in the alternate universe you seem hail from.
  3. Ultimately, it's voters perception of the economy that determines the outcome of elections.
  4. Making a topic personal is the last resort of a person who has nothing. You've got nothing.
  5. You don't understand the difference between currency and stock. Once again to the people who earn their money in dollars (unless they are a currency trader), it's not a question of the individual value of a dollar but rather how many dollars they have. That's what determines their purchasing power.
  6. Being a violent criminal doesn't make one a terrorist. Terrorism is about accomplishing some social or political goal by spreading terror via violence. In fact the Trump administration claimed that tren de agua was working in concert with a government of Venezuela. The evidence is thin. This reminds me of the time the Bush administration claimed that the 9/11 terrorists were working in concert with Saddam Hussein. In order to justify the war on Iraq.
  7. If you actually had an idea about inflation and its relation to individual prosperity, you would offer it. I can only assume that you suffer from the same confusion as does Jas007. Apparently you believe that Americans were richer 50 years ago than they are today.
  8. Have you been hacking into Jim Blue's investment account again? Shame on you!
  9. And Jesus is coming sometime soon. Musk is famous for making promises and then not delivering. No doubt sooner or later he will offer robotaxis and robotic assistants. But will he be the first to do so? Already in China a company has reached level 3 in the self-driving race. I assume that means robotaxis are on the way. And in the United States waymo is a strong contender against Tesla when it comes to the implementation of robot taxis. Apparently Musk's needs to show that he's the smartest guy in the room led him to reject lidar in favor of cameras because lidar was too expensive. The price of lidar has now plummeted. So musk's choice hasn't worked out real well. And the Chinese are also very advanced when it comes to robotics. As well as some people in Americawho got their start at MIT. Musk doesn't have the field to himself. Not by a long shot.
  10. I guess you think you're making some kind of point.
  11. Just before you made your post I corrected mine. It's what comes of dictating to an Android phone without checking it first. So it is a fact that despite decrease in value of the dollar what counts is how many dollars you have and what their total purchasing power is. And anybody who thinks otherwise is the truly clueless person.
  12. The value of the dollar is declining? You are thinking of dollars as being like shares of stock. The question is is the purchasing power of the average American greater now than it was in 1913. In other words while the value of the individual dollar has decreased, what's relevant is how many dollars the average person now has and can they purchase more with it and they covered what they had back in 2013.
  13. But what about if the dentist is lying and the problem that he claims warrants a root canal really just needs a bit of flossing?
  14. And why should I care about your feelings? This is a forum. Not a group therapy session
  15. At the article points out, these retail buyers are buying it Tesla as a meme stock to show their support for a musk and Trump. It has nothing to do with Tesla's economic prospects which look pretty grim. They're being crushed in the EU and beaten up on in China. And their sales in the US are declining. And the cyber truck has been a financial disaster with very low sales.
  16. The labor force includes all adults over the age of 16 except those in the military, prisons, hospitals, or elder care facilities. So if someone is 90 years old and still living at home they would be counted as part of the labor force.
  17. In the latest Fox News polling, which was carried out from March 14 to 17, a majority of registered voters said they disapprove of Trump's handling of the economy thus far: 56 percent of respondents disapproved while 43 percent approved—meaning the president's approval on the issue is underwater by a double-digit 13 point margin. Notably, that's a sharp reversal from the trend during Trump's first term in office, when his approval on handling the economy was consistently above water in Fox News polls. Even in December 2020 right before he left office, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Trump's approval on the economy stood at 52 percent, with 48 percent disapproving. https://www.newsweek.com/fox-news-poll-finds-donald-trump-approval-underwater-economy-2048063
  18. 'in order to assist Hillary" Is that what he wrote? You have a quote from him somewhere to prove that?
  19. From the article: "Boasberg presided over dozens of cases against defendants charged with storming the U.S. Capitol after Trump lost the 2020 presidential election, often issuing sentences significantly more lenient than what prosecutors recommended and displaying a measured and patient approach... Later, as the surveillance court's presiding judge, Boasberg chided the Justice Department for having “breached its duty of candor to the Court with respect to those applications” and said the frequency and gravity of the errors during the Russia investigation had “called into question the reliability of the information proffered in other FBI applications.” In response to the errors, he mandated that the Justice Department provide him with information about its efforts to implement reforms meant to improve the accuracy of warrant applications submitted to the surveillance court."
  20. Actually Boasberg was first nominated to fill a seat on the bench by a Republican president and then by a Democratic one. Appointed by President George W. Bush, he served as a judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia from 2002 to 2011, before Barack Obama nominated him to the US district court for the District of Columbia. Chief Justice John G. Roberts appointed him to the United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) in 2014, and he served as the presiding judge of the FISC from 2020 to 2021 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Boasberg I'br always suspected that John Roberts was a Democratic shill.
  21. Stop making things up Putin turns down Biden talks and defends Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy grid https://www.npr.org/2022/12/02/1140278989/putin-turns-down-biden-talks-ukraine-war
  22. Because the law requires that America be in an actual state of war. And not in a state of hysteria.
  23. I guess since America is composed mostly of the descendants of wave after wave of immigrants, that would mean that immigration in the United States hasn't worked out well for almost everybody. Is that what you're getting at?
