The klitchens have a fan exhaust. Unfortunately, the ductwork is not balanced and although there is a powerful exhaust fan, there are leaks . People can get cooking smells in their units. The units also have a weird air pressure when the AC is working. It's a positive pressure that pushes air out of the unit, especially into the closed interior hallway. Walls looked like they were are ccncrete covered with plasterboard. There did not appear to have been insulation when the place was built. The building arabs (and Chinese) tend to be wealthy and while some are heavy smokers, most are non drinkers and do not bring riff raff home. They are decent tenants and keep to themselves.
