  1. All because Trump slept with Stormy Daniels, covered it up, and got caught.
  2. 'Suffused with lies': George Conway lays waste to Republican's attacks on Trump verdict "I mean, if you don't want to be found guilty of falsifying business records as a felony, don't sleep with the porn star, don't lie about it, don't pay her off, don't cover up the payoff, don't cover off the payoff in the middle of a presidential campaign," he said.
  3. A powerful response about public policy from you. There is plenty of legal precedent for the jury instructions.
  4. It makes complete sense to not force the jury to agree on a single underlying crime. Because, otherwise, criminals would benefit from committing multiple underlying crimes, due to disagreement among jurors which crime is most significant. What you are suggesting is bad public policy. It's not the judge's fault that Trump committed multiple crimes.
  5. You seem to be delusional today. If you disagree, please provide a link to a poll showing Trump getting a majority of the black vote. BTW, tomorrow is June 1, the anniversary of Trump's father being arrested at a KKK rally.
  6. If Trump is sentenced to probation, he will have to submit to drug testing.
  7. Reminds me of @Yellowtail trying to rationalize Trump's criming. The jurors got to pick and choose which of Trump's crimes was the underlying crime to make his business fraud a felony.
  8. And you would be wildly wrong. The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), a London-based defence- and security-focused think-tank, believes Russia has lost at least 3,000 tanks during its Ukraine campaign. The open-source intelligence site Oryx puts the number at just under 2,850 as of the end of February. Note that Oryx uses videos and photos to confirm kills. And Ukraine hasn't had close to 3,000 tanks to lose in this war.
  9. The rest of the year will get worse for Trump. As will next year. The wild card is the Supreme Court's immunity ruling. They are going to have to thread the needle - they can't give Biden immunity now, so they have to stall a final ruling until after the election. Something like there is immunity for official acts, and the courts must decide on a case by case what is an official act. Which would allow the next president to assassinate a rival and then the Supreme Court could rule it was an official act. What they won't do is rule that Trump's January 6 crimes were official acts (or not). They will send that down to the lower courts, for that question to return after the election.
  10. It's common to question defense strategy after a total loss. Your lack of introspection is telling.
  11. The question is why you support such an unsavory convict.
  12. Yeah, he was just found liable for bank fraud and insurance fraud. And some sex crimes. And had to settle for the Trump University scam. And stop working on charities in New York State. Wonderful guy you are backing.
  13. Donald Trump committed crimes and is now a convicted felon.
  14. So, why didn't Trump testify for his defense? Was that a mistake?
  15. And after Michael Cohen pled guilty, the FEC declined to pursue the matter. The NYC courts did, and convicted Trump.
  16. You are correct, there is no certainty that Trump will be sentenced to prison. And he will appeal, probably for the rest of his life.
  17. Felons cannot travel to many countries, including the UK.
  18. The FEC wasn't aware of the campaign finance violation until the prosecution of Michael Cohen. It often takes many months, if not years, for the FEC to rule on a campaign finance complaint. By the time the FEC investigated the payment, Michael Cohen had pled guilty. BTW, Trump was convicted on 34 counts, so, what's your point?
  19. Insulting the judge who has the power to sentence Trump to prison may not violate the gag order, but it sure is stupid.
  20. You made that up. Provide a link that the Democrats own the court and jury. Or delete your post.
  21. And they disagree with virtually every other scientist in the field. More to the point, they ignore data that is very easy to access. Their understanding of solar output ignores direct readings by NASA spacecraft going back 50 years. From 2005 to 2015, Soon had received over $1.2 million from the fossil fuel industry, while failing to disclose that conflict of interest in most of his work.
