Trump won the 2016 election via election fraud.

This is for sure: Trump will do anything to get back into the White House, including inviting mass violence. He has nothing to lose now.

Another factor in the election is that this is not a one shot event. After sentencing on July 11, there will be appeals, probation hearings, maybe a mental health evaluation.

Trump shouldn't have done his criming in New York City.

I will repeat my earlier question: If Trump is elected in November, what could he do to avoid the consequences of this conviction?

The conviction won't impact the hard core MAGA types - except that fewer will show up at the polls. It's the swing voters who aren't in the cult who will take this into account when voting.

So when the next 3 trials are held, if Trump is found guilty of any charges, that's virtually a life sentence for him.

Under no circumstances should Trump be imprisoned until after the election. The voters should have right to a more or less normal campaign, and can express their displeasure by voting for Trump. What is important that the voters know the facts of this case, how Trump acted out, and the jury verdict, prior to the election. Having said that: "Lock him up!"

Imagine the silence from the Trump fans while they wait for their updated talking points.

Attacking a clinical study because of its funding is pointless. Plus, you don't actually know who funded the study. If you are going to attack a study, point out defects in the methodology, otherwise, you are just making noise.

There's propaganda value in engaging in a peace summit, although it's only for show.

My opinion is that the jury request for a reading of the jury instructions indicate that the majority of the jury is trying to convince the minority (or a single juror) to convict, and the holdout(s) claimed the evidence is only circumstantial. I still worry about a lone holdout, either a Trump fan, or someone worried about the impact of a conviction on them or their family.
