This is where your story fails. If Walz got out in May 2005, when do you think he had to start the retirement process? Are you so ignorant that you think getting out of the military takes a few seconds? Do you think Walz woke up one morning in May 2005 and then just walked out? Here's a hint: the year that Walz initiated his retirement wasn't 2005.

There is some truth to what you are saying. Traditional political parties operate as a team, and the President is not a king, and not even the quarterback, as the party has considerable control. Trump has engineered more control over the party than any other modern president. In comparison, Kamala Harris works within the party structure - which is why some of her positions have changed.

Trump might have confused the 1989 crash with a flight he was on later. In any case, there are about 90 days left in the campaign, and Trump blew a precious day talking about a helicopter ride, for no particular reason.
