Democratic politicians are mostly attorneys. This means when they lie, it's typically a lie by omission - prosecutors do this a lot, they only talk about one side of the evidence. Republicans used to lie cleverly, but Trump just makes stuff up out of nothing.

Trump still has time to turn it around. The problem is that he seems old and tired, with no capacity to react to having a different - and younger - opponent. Unless Trump does something different - or there is a Black Swan event - the election won't be close.
