The Thai bars don't have ST rooms or barfines - but customers CAN arrange off hours rendezvous with the ladies, and that is what those hotels are for (plus trysts between bosses and female underlings). In Pattaya, Love hotels are rare west of Sukhumvit Road, but the further east you go, the more such places you will find. Yes I know about Full Love on Soi Bongkot, but there aren't too many more in the area.

It's not unusual for a bargirl to hook up long time with a customer, even to the point of marrying them. But I see a lot of used up ladies in their late 30s who had a Farang boyfriend for 10 years, and now have to go back to work.

Here in Pattaya, Farang bars are mostly in shophouses. The ST rooms are upstairs. No idea if Farang bars in Phuket are the same.

Claiming that there are soapy massage establishments in Thai entertainment complexes is wildly inaccurate. BTW, I think this place is closed.

You've lost the plot. My point is and was that although Farang bars have ST rooms and allow ladies to be barfined, Thai bars largely do not.

I am saying that Celebrity Massage in Chiang Mai caters to Farangs. If a Thai man wants to pay big money, sure he can go. But, you have lost the plot. My is and was about Thai bars not offering barfines or on site Short Time, and somebody started posting about Thai bar complexes that had soapy massages for Thai customers. The Thai bar business is not some Bizarro version of Farang bars, its a different business model, often with many Thai women customers in groups looking for stray Thai men. Are there any Thai bars with Short time? I have heard of such bars, such as those behind the Esso station on Sukhumvit in Banglamung, but they are rare.

That would be news to the Indians who come to those places in minivans. What's going on here is that some posters are thinking: "soapy massage places are in Thailand, therefore most of their customers must be Thai men".

When they are sitting next to me complaining that their boyfriend is "not the same as before", it's hard to ignore. In fact, engaging in personal discussions with ladies avoids the deadly situation where a Farang sits next to a lady and they don't talk except to discuss going to the room.

One more thing: often when the bargirls are in my condo drinking, they will start up complaining about their boyfriend. It invariably ends with them swearing that they are going to leave him Real Soon Now. There are basically 2 flavors of Thai boyfriends in Pattaya: Type 1: Happy that his Tilac goes with customers, as long as he gets paid. Accordingly, their behavior is mercenary, and the ladies can sense it. And so the ladies complain. Type 2: Doesn't want his Tilac to go with customers, so she has to hide it, pretending to be a "drinks only" bargirl. Once this type realizes that his bargirl goes with customers, he either leaves or becomes Type 1. But a bargirl doesn't complain about Type 2s, until or unless they begin the transition to Type 1. The efforts that bargirls employ to hide that they go with customers is significant, especially if its Long Time. I went with a married lady to Malaysia last month, and it was tricky for her to explain her absence from Pattaya. I guess it worked, as we are going to Singapore next week. But, yeah, sometimes its boyfriend talk all day long.

I can't speak for HiSo bars in Bangkok, but Thai bars in Pattaya that have bargirls are nothing like Farang bars. No Short Time rooms, no barfines, and customers buy bottles, not drinks. If a customer wants to go with a lady, it's outside business hours.

I had a bargirl recently tell me she turned down a 10,000 baht gig to see me. Not because she wanted to see me, but because she didn't want the gig. It was a Farang couple. The offer was for the bargirl to come with a man, and the Farang lady wanted the couple. The problem for the bargirl was the man who would come with her, she didn't want to provide services with him in that manner. Which is unusual for her, usually she can do everything. After she was fairly drunk, she mentioned two Thai ladies she wanted to see in a non-platonic manner. I didn't ask any further, but one of the ladies randomly contacted me to ask to come for a "date", and so I invited my bargirl friend. Hopefully, they will hit it off.
