UK premium bonds
prakhonchai nick replied to dayo202's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Last month I won 2 x £50 prizes I have 50,000 bonds. Today I again won 2 x £50 prizes and somewhat amazingly, it was the same 2 numbers (out of 50,000, and chosen randomly) that won!!!! I find this unvbelievable. What are the odds of this happening. I believe something is very rwrong with the random choosing of winning numbers -
If you take out health insurance when you are younger and no health problems, most Insurers (Uk Insurers in particular) cover virtually everything.. That generally continues once you get old, and normally only chronic illnesses are excluded once initially claimed for. My health insurance taken out in the UK 37 years ago, with worldwide cover, covers my whole family. Amazingly one of the perks was that you remain the same age as when you took out the insurance, so no age increases, only inflation. My wife and my 3 kids are all just 21 years old. Me? Just a bit older! Unfortunately the Insurer ceased offering this cover many year ago to new applicants

I am appalled after having read the last 4 pages, that the vast majority of posters are totally ignorant of the purpose of the thread. The basic question referred to hotel and guest house owners who use Agoda to advertise and fill their rooms, and what their charges are. Nothing to do with what we are charged to rent a room through Agoda or other boking companies. An indication of the charges made by Agoda, and indeed Booking.com (same parent company) is mentioned, but very largely lost in all the rubbish and irrelevant posts!

prakhonchai nick replied to pjbkk's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
A "Letter of Certification" would suffice. This is a simple letter showing his Thai address, with a statement stating that he and his wife - or partner, live at the above address. Both would sign verifying that the statement was true and the letter would be accompaned by a signed colour photocopy of the wifes/partners ID card. . ADDRESS DATE HM Passport Office Liverpool. LETTER OF CERTIFICATION Dear Sirs I, (name), do hereby certify that I live at the above address with my wife/partner (give name). I have lived there for over XX years I attach a signed copy of my wife’s National ID card, I certify the above to be true. 1) NAME…………………………………………………… 2) WIFES/PARTNERS NAME …………………………………………………… Yours sincerely PASSPORT HOLDERS NAME -
VFS Bangkok - UK Visa application
prakhonchai nick replied to spinner343's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
That is correct. The new British passport has to be collected, either in person or by someone authorised to collect. The old passport has to be presented and is cancelled by VFS. VFS will NOT send the new passport to you -
Car accident, who should pay the excess?
prakhonchai nick replied to sanook 1's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Its all down to the failings of one inept government after another. Full third party insurance-as a minimum-should be mandatory for all road vehicles. Minister of Transport.....WHERE ART THOU???? -
Car accident, who should pay the excess?
prakhonchai nick replied to sanook 1's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Why should he pay? The motorbike was stolen. The driver was high. Were the police called? They should have been. Tese kids need to be taught a lesson. Far too many of them. -

Rather surprised that a Private Hospital admitted him in the first place without either insurance or money. They turned the Taiwan tourist away!

Anutin Orders Strict New Year Road Safety Measures

The German had no reason to suspect she was a minor. She was working in a bar, looking for customers to have sex with her. That is what she was employed to do. As such it was the duty of the bar management to check her credentials, and not the German's responsibiity. If you take a bus, or taxi here in Thailand, do you first check that the driver has a valid driving licence------or indeed a driving licence at all???????

A Thai will generally state he/she is 1 year older than actual. For example on attaining the age of 17. he /she is in the 18th year, and will say they are 18 years of age. The guy was in a foreign country, in Sin City on holiday, where there are thousands of prostitutes plying their wares. No doubt this particular lass was trying seduce him as no doubt many of the other girls were. They only care about money. The older the customer the more likely she would not have to work so hard! If she was working in a bar, and the guy duly paid the bar fine, then the bar/bar staff/bar management are the sole guilty parties!

COVID-19 infections rising, public advised to wear face masks
prakhonchai nick replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So the public are advised to wear masks. In my neck of the woods, the majority of Thais NEVER stopped wearing them. Most kids on motorbikes wear them, but sadly not helmets!
