I live in a gated community, would be approx 400 houses here. Dogs are not allowed outside one's yard off leash, if they take a dump you have to pick it up or be fined (not sure how that is enforced), only dogs I hear barking are my own. Every house has high walls surrounding them. Iam on a double block with a very secluded yard, occasionally I can here kids playing in the soi when Iam out cooking on the BBQ or swimming in the pool.

Fair enough. Me personally I prefer to have the experts diagnose potentially expensive repairs. Unusual for an auto box to "clunk".... My money is on the rear axle. Bizarre of Honda to come up with a 40k repair but not know what the issue is/was, even more surprising it was not in writing, good call to not have them "fix" it.

Hopefully they use Elon's submarine to rescue them.

Take it to Toyota and get them to diagnose the problem.
