  1. As a couple of people pointed out, the tax treaty between the U.S. and Thailand says that income that is earned in one country and is taxable in that country is NOT taxable in the other country. The treaty is available on line if you google it.
  2. If you have an appointment for dose #2 and want it badly enough to travel back to dose #1 location, do so and rest assure you vaccinated. However, you want dose #2 in Chiangmai, register on Wall of Chiang Mai system (https://www.cm-healthcare.net/CMCVR). You will be added to the list and notified when vaccinations will be given and where for your age/health status group.
  3. The Chiangmai Public Health Office has NOT put out an notice for when the next round of walk-in vaccinations with Pfizer will take place. Keep checking.
  4. NO, the Chiangmai Public Health Office has not put out any notices for the next round of walk-in Pfizer vaccinations. If your first dose was Pfizer, you got an appointment slip for dose #2 three weeks later.
  5. The walk in is for expats only, aged 65 and older or at least 12 weeks pregnant. Passports and 13 digit registration ID number required. If you have not already registered in the Wall of Chiang Mai system (https://www.cm-healthcare.net/CMCVR) and expatvac.consular.go.th then you should register immediately.
  6. For the U.S., if your marriage is registered then your wife can collect 100% of your Social Security benefits after your death, regardless of where she lives, in the U.S. or in Thailand. So there may be some survivor benefits you would like her to get after your death which she might not be able to do if not legally married.
  7. I, too, used Good Speed a couple of times and was happy with them. But I found Chi Chang in Promenada to be more convenient. My friend John doesn't speak Thai and had them build him a PC and recommend them. He said there was quit a bit of back and forth on selecting components. I speak Thai and went to the same guy and we did the same thing. Though I first did lots and lots of research on https://www.invadeit.co.th/ and https://www.jib.co.th/web/ selecting parts from the case upward and outward. Then took the list to Chi Chang. They suggested a copy of H/W alternatives based on who they bought from and what is available and I came home and researched those. I found they met my criteria and that some were slightly more expensive and some were a little less. Did a great job. I have a great machine, cool, runs several photo processing S/W programs at the same time as well as the web and an email client. I am a happy camper. Give them a try
  8. The print booth under Central Dept Store in Central Festival mall will print any size you want, front and back, and then encase it in plastic. It is on the ground floor and front of the massage place so you can get a foot massage while you wait.
