More unanswered questions than answers:
• How many shots will the Thai Red Cross siphon off before the prepaid Moderna becomes available?
• How many prepaid Moderna accounts through the private hospitals?
• Given the increased interest in Moderna, and the increasing caseload, why didn’t they order 10 million shots, or more?
• Why did this take so damned long?
Questions that need to be asked!
I'm wondering who added "Thais that need to travel".
I'll just send my family to Singapore for the weekend. Does that entitle them to Moderna?

While Pfizer is a lot better than Sinovac, in Israel the latest news is that Pfizer is only 39% effective in preventing infection from Delta:
So the Pfizer booster and an updated vaccine would help.
Scary stuff this COVID-19.
It mutates so damn fast.

No, its the Sinovac that doesn't work.
mRNA vaccines are very effective against the Delta variant.
Moderna will only be available to the private hospitals and smart people who paid in advance.

My next door neighbour has arranged three cars to transport local 15 Thais over the age of 60 from nakhon pathom to Bangkok Bang Su for vaccination.
It just doesn't make sense when a large government hospital is only 10 minutes away!!
Those vaccination centers are super spreader events.
In Sakon Nakhon we haven't heard anything about vaccines.
I know in our village much of the Thais will refuse the Sinovac jab.

What are you talking about. Favipiravir is not "Chloroquine"
Theres mention of using chloroquine in addition to Favipiravir towards the end of the article.

never buy on FB unless you have the product in your hand before paying
At the beginning of COVID-19 here in Thailand Facebook was the only place our family could get masks or Alcohol gel. 900 baht for lousy Chinese masks and about the same for sanitizer.
And to think that Anutin is still in charge of the Health Ministry makes me upset.

Thats the article.
Sinovac is pretty useless against the Delta variant.
A new report today in Reuters reports Sinopharm isn't very effective for people over 60.
I don't want either of them.

Is it not called generic ? And while it contains same ingredients it is not of the same quality.
does not mean it’s worse, but most certainly not the same in terms of quality.
Have tried many generics and results not always the same as original
Exactly same ingredients and quality.
Many times made at the same medical facilities so they can sell both drugs to make money.
Some doctors wont prescrbe the generic equivalent unless you request it. They can get bonuses prescribing the more expensive of the medicines from the manufacturer.

Yeah that's good my Oz mate couldn't do that some years back so took the full Driving tests.
With a UK photocard driving licence you can drive in Thailand and get a Thai DL if you wish without IDP with correct visa.
Before COVID-19 I was planning on taking a tour of Laos from Our home base in Thailand.
I was told my Thai drivers license was only valid within the cities of Vientiane and Savanakhet.
I got one online IDP and then came COVID-19.
Stay healthy!

If you want a IDP to accompany your USA DL you apply for it in your country.
Some people sell IDL but there worthless.
If your US DL has your photo and has what you are entitled to drive in English say the same as the photo card type English DL a car hire company usually will hire you a car some companies may ask for a IDP which is s bit silly because all the IDP does is translate the DL into English. ????
You can get an International drivers permit online.
It's valid in any country that participates in the International Drivers permit scheme.
To apply you need a valid driver's license from your home country to apply.

it is danderous to drive a car these days, you are not in europe.

I recently drove from Hua Hin to Phuket.
It was a beautiful drive.
I drive everwhere in Thailand.
"the roads are empty and people arehungry"
You make it sound like a zombie movie.
The roads are great. I would recommend the drive than a stuffy bus any day!
However if you're frightened of driving then by all means get on a bus.

OK. So you'll continue to buy from Japan, the country from which you appropriated the IP. Bold move.

You have to download that link. Not many people will want to download an unknown file.
Do you a link to the article?

"Foreign tourists caught out by domestic flight ban offered free buses from Phuket Sandbox"
"The charge is only 1,500 baht, cost price said Thanet Tantiphiriyakij of the Phuket Tourist Business Association."
Safer to rent a car one way. 3200 baht.
minus 1,500 for the "Free" bus. Only 1,700.

Semi lockdown to match the semi mass vaccination.
Covax is it has ordered millions of doses of Sinovac and Sinopharm.
What are they thinking.
We know Sinovac is basically useless against the Delta variant. I think thats why its so easy to get. Only the cheap charlie countries want it.

Strictly speaking a condo pool is not private, as it is open to all the residents of your condo, (as in my case). But in our case we have even limited that, by making the pool available to 1 unit for 1 hour. It has worked without any problem, but I know that from today there are going to be some in the condo who are going to complain, despite the fact that properly chlorinated pools are safe, and there is no social interaction with anyone who is not from your own unit, (just as you would experience inside your home). Our situation is complicated by having other facilities, (tennis court, basketball court, outdoor track/ children's games area). I want to close the courts and the recreation area, because the two courts are contact sports and may require people from other units to participate. The play area has been used outside of guidelines, with children from multiple units using at the same time, and two days ago, one (so far) testing positive.
I agree that it should stay open, (and see my comments above). Unfortunately the powers that be take the sledge hammer to a nut approach, because they cannot conceive of a pool being used for anything other than an activity that involves several parties in close proximity. We closed our pool for 2 months the last time until 21 July because of the inane BMA (Bangkok) ruling.
Smart!
Limit it to one unit per hour. Sign up, if you don't show up you lose that privilege for a week.

There more concerned about crowded pools. Although you maybe the only one using your condo pool, other properties van be packed especially with schools closed.
Our private pool is usually crowded with our kids friends. Now its just family.
Still its a pain in the butt. Hot humid days and not much to do.

It doesn't.
Sounds psychological.
Have you talked to your doctor about this?
If you feel this way I would recommend getting the original.
In the end the only difference is the price.
This from the FDA:
"Generic drugs are copies of brand-name drugs that have exactly the same dosage, intended use, effects, side effects, route of administration, risks, safety, and strength as the original drug. In other words, their pharmacological effects are exactly the same as those of their brand-name counterparts."
