That means a partial shutdown.
There a big employer.

"This is a crisis,” said Dr Rungruang Kitpati, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health."
No kidding.
Can you have a chat with Anutin about this.

This is the solution?
888 baht a shot?
They should be vaccinating people for free.
Disgraceful.

He says he thought about driving down but he didn't feel confident as he had never driven in Bangkok. He wasn't referring to Covid restrictions with that statement, though its likely that he is also concerned about travel restrictions.
Your right sir!
Tough time to travel.
Stay healthy.

Just need a hundred or two of these units.
Nothing like preparation.

Gold shops up here in Issan. I haven't seen a western style pawn shop with bikes, tools, etc.

Flights may not be expensive as you think. I booked a flight, round trip, via ANA/United for $2800 Biz Class to USA. Economy was about $1000. But that was two months ago. Economy was basically empty of passengers from Japan to USA. All depends where you are flying to.
Nice price for business class.
Im assuming flights are getting scarcer as this lockdown intensifies. It seems COVID-19 is flaring up again everywhere and many flights are getting cancelled.

I had AZ in June too. No problems, just walked into the local hospital. Job done.

Have you had your second shot?

So whatever the gent may have done wrong or insufficient in the past, why not just sit back and let him do his job as best he can now. Because it is HIS job, not yours.
He should be fired and replaced.

There cheaper.

This is not the same, Immigration is part of the police force, not a private company!
I think everyone agrees that it is wrong and they should be reported. Where to report them is the issue for most people.
I just want my visa.
I don't want to make waves with immigration.

Sinovac/Astra will not be accepted because sinovac is not approved in canada, and most likely never will.
Sinovac isn't approved in many nations. The list is growing longer.

So back to the topic
Does anyone have plans to attend SCG and attempt to obtain AZ vaccine.
In some places it mentions "register" in others refers to "walk ins"
Any links for registration?.
Based on last Sunday dismal effort where number of vaccines was a token it's hard to have lot of faith
These vaccine centers look like a place for a Super spreader event.
The vaccines will probably be the practically useless Sinovac.

The local hospital out here in the boonies has started vaccinating people over the age of 60. Since I’m over that threshold, yesterday I decided to see if I could receive whatever vaccine. Basically, the officials said they were not allowed to vaccinate anyone other than Thais, but I could ask the Phitsanulok provincial authorities if they would give permission.
Unfortunately, they also said no and then offered some advice on how to proceed. It was then explained that as a ‘farang’ I could pay for the vaccine from a private hospital sometime in the future. Furthermore, they said the blame for no available vaccine was really America’s fault. Why? When the US government donated the 1.5 million doses of the vaccine to Thailand, they did not stipulate that any was to be given to American citizens...
Useless. Sorry you had to waist so much time.

Fortunately, dating back as far as 1961, no one in authority in Thailand has ever asked me for tea money. I would certainly consider paying if the issue at hand was critical. Having said that, 15k in this particular case seems a bit steep.
15,000-20,000 for some visas that need a little extra help is common. Better than an overstay or having to leave your Thai family behind.
Think of it as the price for a nice weekend in Bangkok (pre-covid).

Just use an established agent. They know what is needed to streamline the visa process. Many of us never ever need to step into an immigration office.

Driving in Bangkok isn't that scary as long as you've got a GPS, especially going to Swampy on the expressway. One of the very few bonuses at present here in Bangkok is that road traffic is lighter due to the restrictions, making it even easier. Just plan a route that skirts the inner CBD area via an expressway, as the inner CBD can get a bit hectic if you haven't driven here before.
I don't think he's worried about the traffic as much as COVID-19 restrictions on traveling. He's worried above being stopped.

Think land lord will be more angry at having to find a new tenant during a pandemic with no moving about and job insecurity than you leaving early and still paying them.
Definitely a renters market.
Why not contact him and if not leave the place nicer than you left it. Descent thing to do.
It's going to be hard to find flights out and the ones you do will be expensive.
Also expect an expensive quarantine wherever you arrive.

Basically asking for a handout to the billionaire business folks.
Since the government won't why not donate money towards mRNA vaccines. Once everyone is vaccinated they'll be making billions in profit once again while paying sh** wages.

in Europe it does not matter how you died if they trace COVID you are classed as a death from/or with COVID.
In the UK I remember a guy dying in a motorcycle accident, was put down as another COVID death, although he hit a street lamp at 100mph
These guys weren't on a motorcycle.
They collapsed and died in the street.
It took 5 hours to get the bodies because medics are overwhelmed by the deaths.
Still plenty of motorcycle accidents also. Nowhere for them to be treated. Hospitals are full.

The wrong people to run the vaccine program.
Thai people have lost all trust in the government to protect them.
They keep mentioning Sinovac.
Are they living in vacuum?
