  1. Which section of the Civil and Commercial Code or the Thai Criminal Code states that to be the case?
  2. I just assumed the band were paid. They were. There's no way that any band is going to perform for the evening for nothing but tips...unless they're a crappy amateur band with day jobs.
  3. Soi Cowboy is in Bangkok,
  4. Sounds suspiciously like Soi Cowboy, which is in Bangkok, close to the Sukhumvit/Asoke intersection!
  5. The expiry date on my Bht 173 says 23rd August, last month it said 23rd July until I topped up Bht 20. No good doing 12 x 20, I will never use that much on phone calls. So top up on the monthly basis that you prefer! What is your complaint?...it costs you exactly the same, i.e. in 12 months you will have loaded the same B240 and the SIM card will have the same validity.
  6. Speak for yourself.
  7. You did the right thing but ask your concerned girlfriend if the band was performing free and relying on tips (they weren't) or whether they were getting paid by the bar and ask her how much she tipped the band in comparison to your tip.
  8. Each top up gives you another 30 days, doesn't matter how much you top up with, B20 or B500 both give 30 more days.
  9. It is not the phone credit that keeps the card valid, it is the expiry date and it is not necessary to top up every month, unless the validity expires at the end of that month. Top up with B20, twelve times, and you won't have to top up again for twelve months. Easy, eh?
  10. Note to AN posters, always read the OP/watch the video. He was wearing a shirt, a black one with green/white stripes.
  11. He is not a "foolish child", nor is he "a kid", he is a 27-year old adult. You really think there should be a law (in which country?) that makes it illegal to be out of touch with family for a couple of weeks? Now that is what would be foolish. Perhaps his sister, who started all this kerfuffle, is the one who should be charged with wasting "million of baht spent searching for this foolish child, along with countless hours of time and effort spent looking by various officials in various countries"!
  12. No, Bank of China is a Chinese bank but Bank of China (Thailand), the banking business that is found in Thailand is a Thai bank.
  13. No they are not. Banks, in the main, are private companies, their rules are not, necessarily, the same as any other banks', it depends on their rules and the jurisdictions' rules.
  14. And HSBC in Poland is a Polish bank. You guys crack me up. HSBC Continental Europe (Spółka Akcyjna) Oddział w Polsce is a Polish company. UOBT is a Thai bank. UOB is a Singaporean bank.
  15. By that logic McDonald's Thailand is Thai authentic food. Your logic is off, the analogy would be Mcd Thailand is a Thai company, what they serve is irrelevant.
  16. UOBT, the bank he is obviously referring to is a Thai bank.
  17. Try using an English definition of the meaning, there are plenty of source on the internet. I'm not the one who needs a dictionary, the word is "intestate", it is not the two word, meaningless phrase, "in testate"!
  18. Who told you that a person dying without making a will dies "in testate" [sic]? Maybe check your source...and the meaning of "intestate".
  19. No, it's a ballroom dance.
  20. Because your post makes no sense. The till balances if product wasnt scanned. No money missing. How so?(!) Was there no missing stock?!
  21. How so? Why do I have to explain how I know?
  22. they wouldn't be able to pin it on a particular service assistant so maybe it's spread across everyone Wouldn't they?
  23. "Not smart at all". Your own (self-deprecating) words!
