It was a glorious den of iniquity back in the early noughties with freaks of all genders prancing around and holding court. A fallen gem. Which is the fallen gem, New Wave or the Biergarten?

Danish man denies allegations of theft at first court meeting
Liverpool Lou replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Doubtless you could check it yourself instead of offering a silly challenge. Too lazy, I guess. Easier to appear clever, clever! No, not at all, and it wasn't "a silly challenge", I just know that there are no such examples, if there were you'd have quoted them for the poster to whom I was addressing my comment who couldn't come up with one example, either. -
Once? Actually, I base all my comments on facts and not opinions, so that leaves no room for a reply . Not you, my response was aimed at BenStark.

No, the police do not "always say" that. -

That will be a very hard job ..... "...the father shared the CCTV footage on social media to initiate legal action against the young mother, reported Pattaya Mail". Wasn't difficult for him to give his attention. -
"You were on your way to the beer garden...". Dreadful, dreadful place, would never drink there. It's only saving grace was the pork chops and mashed spuds on a couple of very hungry occasions and then a rapid dart out back to New Wave.

No, that can't be the one, he used to read The Bangkok Post.

So that would exclude Lou then You got something right, for once! I'd qualify it, though, by adding that I'm selectively (anti) social.

That bar ("Thaivisa Lounge") was the second iteration of the infamous New Wave, Soi 7, after the land on the corner was sold to be redeveloped and was owned by the successful 'Frenchman', 'Patrick', it was not owned by Thaivisa. Thaivisa put a bit of money in it and used it temporarily, putting their name on the alley side of New Wave's frontage.

Is expatinsurance.com recommendable?
Liverpool Lou replied to Y Chang's topic in Health and Medicine
I know personally of a case where a motorbike rider fully insured was taken to hospital after an accident. I would never doubt the veracity of your posts but that is just one case out of millions of claims and, from your description, it appears to be one in which the terms of the policy were contravened. Voiding a policy with a specific contravention does not put the insurer at fault or in a position to be unfairly criticised or condemned. -
Soi 11 is what is going on...late.

A lot of the clubs, bars or whatevers in Soi 11 are open, surreptitiously, until stupid o'clock. They all already have "the attention" of the authorities!

Thai citizenship costs 5,000 baht application fee and 500 baht for the fingerprints. The ID card comes free I think. Ok, now I understand, you applied for and were granted Thai citizenship after the normal procedure, you did not just "buy it" for B5,500 as he ridiculously suggested. Appreciate the clarification.

Is expatinsurance.com recommendable?

What???? Don't believe that for a minute. I bet you either work or used to work in insurance. You're right, as I have posted previously, part of my career was in insurance, for a large insurer and as an untied broker, that's how I know what I am talking about. The figures that I quote are accurate; insurance claims statistics are widely available for those who care to look (most don't want to) but it's funny how all those who dispute the available statistics can't ever come up with opposing statistics to back their cynicism - hearsay and anecdotal tales are not stats representative of the whole industry. If the figures were the other way around, 90% denied and 10% paid, as most AN poster like to fantasise, there would, obviously, be no insurance industry as no one would ever buy any policy. -

Hardly surprising that that some of that minority 10% or so requested investigations. The other 90% obviously would have no reason to request investigations! -
Excuse me. What do you mean with this post. I just posted my opinion. If you agree you can say that. No need to sound like I want everyone to listen and heed. Even if English isn't your first language I'm sure that you know how to search the meaning of "Hear, hear!" on the internet. There's no need for you to give me instructions on how to respond to your posts that are based on your misunderstanding of the usage of a very common English language expression.
