  1. He waited at the scene for authorities to arrive, as clearly reportred.
  2. Why? 99.99% of drivers in Thailand are Thai.
  3. "The altercation reportedly began with a dispute between the car driver and his girlfriend".
  4. No need, as the OP clearly stated, the driver waited at the scene for authorities, he didn't do a runner and his reistration number is not a mystery.
  5. No, of course it doesn't, because the driver wasn't a foreigner.
  6. To get opinion on its implementation, perhaps?
  7. The driver did not lie to the police.
  8. On what do you base that belief, do you have information that was not in the OP?
  9. Slamming the police for not turning up in less than three minutes, (assuming they were called) is not making a valid point, it's Thai-bashing.
  10. They didn't? There was only just over three minutes between the impact and the end of the video, hardly enough time to justify giving the police a slagging off.
  11. Well you need to understand how AN works so you do not include other posters in your criticism. With all of your posts you should know by now how it works I do know how it works, you need to understand the relevance of context. I wasn't criticising anyone, I was answering a question, please quote my "criticism" if you can.
  12. So how would that happen. Advise the police that a foreigner has died and the police would amke a visit to the home or the hospital, or wherever the death occured or where the body was where their identity would be confirmed, The police then inform the embassy.
  13. Give it a rest Lou. Give what a rest...accuracy?
  14. My GF just asked the Village Chief, who said that he, the Police Chief, the Amphur and the temple will do it all after the local Hospital has issued a Death Certificate. I know, and I know what you posted - that comment of mine that you quoted was a response to billd766, not you.
  15. Between which two are you referring, the Police and who else. No-one has inferred that the Police are not to be informed, if you read what I said earlier, the Village Chief, THE POLICE, and the Temple will do all the necessary things. The two would be thepolice and the embassy. "No-one has inferred that the Police are not to be informed..." How do you know that no one has "inferred" that, some people may have even though no one implied it!
  16. You're right, they wouldn't, the embassy would be the ones doing that.
  17. The embassy will be told.
  18. Illegal, not "technically" illegal!
  19. The police would advise the embassy of the death of any foreigner.
  20. Pity you cannot read. If you had read my post I was talking about the man's wife, the next of kin. Please engage brain before opening the keyboard. Pity you cannot read, I was responding to Will Iam Not's post, not yours that was nested. Please engage brain before insulting other members.
  21. The death of a foreigner has to be reported to the police by law and between the two identity will be confirmed.
  22. He must have been very important to be resting" in state"!
  23. Do they want a photo of the dead man's face to compare to his passport? Or someone to fly over to look at the body. Obviously not, the next of kin has to be informed of a death and girlfriends are not NOK.
