  1. The "dreariness and vulgarity" is only there if you seek out the dreary and vulgar places. If you don't, you'll never see it.
  2. Just as there is an awful lot more to Bangkok than Nana, there's an awful lot more to Pattaya than what's in your mind.
  3. No, they don't. As long as you keep topping up the credit the validity will be extended. If there's credit on the card when it expires you will lose it unless you're quick to get on to AIS who may reinstate it and save your balance. You could contact AIS's perfect English-speaking call centre and get it from the horse's mouth. 1175.
  4. It's no place for boors, either.
  5. Yes. Huawei ear buds. You won't get them for B800, though, you get what you pay for.
  6. Just as speculatively likely that the landlord is paying tax or that they are within the zero-tax income band. But, so what if they're not paying tax on that tiny rental income, how is that any business of yours? "I'm going to report you to the Revenue Department", such a ridiculous threat to suggest someone makes to the person from whom they're renting their home.
  7. Nearly 40% down on 2019 132% up on 2022. What has 2019 and ignoring Covid got to do with current figures?
  8. "Positive Lazada experience" That won't go down well with the Lazada haters!
  9. Care to put that in English? Fatboy's is an agent.
  10. You’re wrong. The agent could well be a driving school. The agent we used was in fact a driving school. A driving school is an agent. No, I am not wrong. Clearly the OP was not intending to use a driving school, if he was it'd be reasonable to presume that he would have mentioned that! He was referring to using an agent that bypassed all the official requirements including testing whether he was sufficiently competent as a driver (as driving schools do). I was not referring to your using a school and I know that a school acts as an agent.
  11. He didn't post that. I think it is totally wrong for people like you to make false assertions against other posters.
  12. Very salubrious.
  13. semantics, it could be either or both. You’re assuming and when you assume…. No, it's not semantics and, no, I wasn't assuming. The poster I responded to specifically referred to a driving school and the OP specifically referred to an agent to bypass the proper system. Seems as though you're the "assume" (without the "u" and "me").
  14. Can you name any? Fatboys. Again. Their other office!
  15. Can you name any? Fatboys.
  16. If it's not a scam, or a fake licence, how do they get the applicant's photo on the licence if there's no need to attend?
  17. That's a driving school. not an agency, which is what the OP is asking about.
  18. Another way of asking this question is: How often do you hear a Thai person who grew up outside the BKK metro area say that they don't like Bangkok?
  19. ...or the English-speaking Tourist Police "i lert u" phone app.
  20. It works very well. I put the app on my phone and accidentally hit the "Request" button but I immediately hung up. Seconds later I was called back by an English-speaker who was checking what kind of assistance I needed.
  21. 1669 throughout Thailand, they have English speakers.
  22. I "would of had" it on my toes out of the shop.
  23. The article clearly explains what the purpose of the alteration was.
