    Are you sure you would want to argue about that in Thai court? Whether I'd want to argue about it in court is beside the point, the fact is that her personal debts, incurred solely by her, would not become his liability if they were not in any way for joint or family purposes.

    Obviously, yes, it applies to all foreigners, not just "farangs", as you put it. There are no countries that do not require confirmed passport ID when a foreigner is opening a bank account.

    Had she used the seat belt she would probably been strapped to the seat. Regarding the phone, very many drivers use their phones while driving. ...yes, and still with a broken neck and trapped under the crushed, overturned car from which she had to be cut out. How would wearing a seat belt have helped her in this multi-rollover accident?

    My brother in law in the UK abused my niece from the age of 8 before running off to Australia after the cops interviewed him. Her mother, my sister did not know but his wife did. So what? What's the relevance of your dirty old brother and his complicit wife to my comment about this child's mother who was not, apparently, in on it?

    Having a two day overstay and sorting it when leaving Suvarnabhumi will never be an issue regardless of how bad a day any IO may be having.

    Bit late for that warning as he appears to be a serial overstayer going back several years with spurious "medical" excuses (Immigration has procedures to cover genuine medical reasons that do not result in overstays).

    That's even more ridiculous, what do you base that on? The mother was there, she lived in the house with the family and there was no suggestion that she was a stoner.

    totally agree ..... she sounds like a nasty piece of work .... she knew this was going on for years and did nothing. Nonsense, read the full article properly, she was not aware of the abuse until she was told by her sister after the child confided in her.

    The child will have her mother, grandmother and aunts, she will not be without parental support. The only one who will not be there will be the rapist uncle.

    So the mother was aware it was gaing on all this time and did nothing. No, that was not what was reported. The mother reported that, after the story came out, her daughter had been abused since the age of eight, it did not state that she had been aware of it for those years.

    The rule has been IDP is valid for 3 months constant single use . Whether the police check , or know , is another point. A UK IDP is still £5.50 , but now has a 3 year life. What? What has that got to do with some poster's claim that the foreign driving licence rules in Thailand have been constantly changing?
