  1. Huh? How has the content of the Thai driving test been "constantly changing"?
  2. The thing is it can be inaccurate but the rules are constantly changing here in Thailand. In the context of my comment that you responded to, what rules have been "constantly changed"?
  3. Only the online website access, Easy Net, is being discontinued, nothing to do with the phone app and nothing to do with the staff not knowing what's going on, it's you that doesn't know that, and nothing to do with keeping the workers in the dark, either.
  4. ...maybe that's true but it is something that the authorities never check on. Many people, myself included in the past, have used their foreign licence long term with no issues including insurance claims. If an insurer will issue a policy based on the applicant having a valid foreign licence there probably wont be any claims issues.
  5. But, tediously, consistently inaccurate information continues to be promulgated about it!
  6. That's not accurate, I had three successful, substantial, claims on one of the cars I have owned here and Viriyah had no issues with my UK licence that I used after letting my original Thai licence expire years previously.
  7. Why would anyone build a property on the land they can't own. Ask them, not me but it is a legal option that is open to foreigners.
  8. But the masseuse did. It was a masseur, not a masseuse, that's the point of the report!
  9. I'm sorry - where does it say on my post that there are many reports from SCB staff ?? I have looked and can't see it. Are you just making up posts now? Read it again and don't just assume. It was a fairly safe presumption, not an assumption, based on your posting the following, referring to "they" on a thread about SCB... "They are currently offering 1.95 fixed for 2,3, or 4 years with book. Maybe shift to that one. ???? I don't like the online accounts due to the many bad stories you hear regarding bank employees". Who else would you have been reasonably referring to?... Then, in the same paragraph, you indicate your dislike of the staff, you didn't mention any other bank. Read your post again.
  10. In all honesty, you seem to have ignored the fact that she would be an addition to an existing Thai carer and that another in Thailand is actually "exactly what he is looking for".
  11. ...if you plan an expensive heart operation then you can be sure the insurance will check your past records for anything they can use to verify your claim.
  12. Plenty, have a look at their website.
  13. Obviously it would, why would anyone ever assume that a deceased person's visa/extension would not be invalidated by their death?
  14. As far as I recall, they made those announcements weeks ago already. Neither Kasikorn nor Bangkok Bank have announced that they are withdrawing non-app, online banking services.
  15. You've heard "many reports" of fraudulent activities by SCB staff? Where?
  16. That rule only applies to condo projects, upto 49% foreign quota Hence his (sarcastic) question.
  17. Depends on what happens regarding the inheritance of the foreigners share, in a legal deal (which these in question are not) the property may not necessarily be put up for sale.
  18. Who cares? They knew what they were doing and, presumably, they'll now have to abide by the law that they were deliberately circumnavigating...maybe they'll lose their illegal property.
  19. It's not beyond the realms of possibility to arrest those foreigners committing offences in this manner. Their illegally obtained land could be confiscated also.
  20. Foreign Quota There isn't a foreign quota for land which is what the OP is about.
  21. "Those poor people who get duped..." Those "poor people" who insist on promulgating false information. Foreigners can own property in Thailand, they cannot own land (apart from some exceptions that do not apply to most foreigners).
  22. Damages? What was damaged? It was clearly a reference to the value of land being put under the control of foreigners, illegally, thus Thailand is the damaged party.
  23. Used watches attract import duty and VAT just the same as new ones do, the CIF value is what Customs are interested in.
