  1. I did and nothing came up, thats why my post was necessary !! "Big fire on Sukhumvit Soi 3". That, and being posted in the Bangkok News forum, tells you exactly whereabouts it is. How many "Sukhumvit Soi 3's" do you think that there are?
  2. "The answer to the question 'can a foreigner inherit land in Thailand' is yes, as a statutory heir, but he cannot register ownership of the land because he will not be given permission. Under present law he must dispose of the land within a reasonable period (meaning up to 1 year) to a Thai national. If the foreigner fails to dispose of the land the Director-General of the Land Department is authorized to dispose of the land and retain a fee of 5% of the sale price before any deductions or taxes". https://www.samuiforsale.com/knowledge/inheritance-laws-thailand.html#:~:text=The surviving spouse is a statutory heir but their entitlement,in to four equal shares.
  3. Contact the manufacturer and ask them directly.
  4. You seem to have 'inside' knowledge. Bit of fantasising going on there. He doesn't, he clearly knows nothing about Thai prisons and the behaviour, in general, of inmates and guards.
  5. Registered post, EMS or courier. If there's no one there to receive those important documents then that's an issue for you and the recipient to sort out.
  6. Unless I'm mistaken it is, even now, illegal to have sex with a lady of 'feeble mind' Normal sex is what I have referred to all along ever since you, bizarrely, described sex (with no qualification) as being illegal in Ireland not so long ago... " It wasn't so long ago that sex was illegal in Ireland, unless you were intending to make a baby...". Your words. Normal sex has never been illegal in Ireland.
  7. From the damage to the centre of the front end of the blue car, it's clear that she hit him on the right rear three-quarters, not straight on.
  8. So, you flew an airplane completely stoned don't tell me you can drive at 300km/h on the autobahn absolute nonsense Yes, that is permitted in places...but he probably didn't.
  9. One could assume from that they were out drinking. With a nine year old in the car too. One could speculate that but one sure could not reasonably assume that.
  10. Wide, well-lit road, little traffic, dry surface, car parked illegally on the motorway, in the dark while two occupants have a slash, one of them actually on the motorway.
  11. or Thai ! That's so true, Thais are the only people, worldwide or here, that ever have road accidents. What's your nationality?
  12. Yes, it's amazing, isn't it? And the weevil eggs are so delicious, I can't understand anyone's aversion to them. If they were big enough they'd be sold as street food as insects and ants eggs are!
  13. Not as simple as that, depend size of sieve It is just that easy, no need to use a sieve, that makes it more difficult. Adding water to the rice in the cooker or pot and stirring it around (as should be done anyway, regardless of whether the rice is weevil-infested) makes the weevils float to the surface from where they can easily be poured off. The heavy rice stays on the bottom while the water weevils are removed. It's so easy and takes 30 seconds.
  14. Just normal sex Lou. Nonsense. Normal, not underage sex, has never been illegal in Ireland.
  15. You're right, but what harm could a 0.1mm egg do and how would anyone ever know if they were eating them? Who examines their rice grains with a loupe before cooking it?
  16. Fry them. You really think that the eggs of an insect about a millimetre long could... (a) be visible in order to do anything about them, (b) could do anything apart from provide extra protein or (c) wouldn't wash away with a rinse?
  17. Read the OP please, bag is already opened I returned an opened bag of flour containing the same insects to Tops, got a refund immediately, no arguments or discussions.
  18. ...or rinse the rice, takes 30 seconds and they're gone.
  19. Until the rice is frozen would be favourite. But, as a few have already posted, that's a complete waste of time, they float out when the rice is washed.
