  1. No, that is not the finance companies first problem, they have three guarantors to go after first.
  2. She was just lucky, that's not the way it normally happens unless the finance company's costs to chase would outweigh the debt. There would probably be a record of her default as a guarantor with the Thai credit agencies.
  3. "...lost there house ... still had to make payments..." Really? That doesn't sound likely, what sort of car had the first policeman bought the finance of which couldn't have been paid off with the proceeds of another policeman's house's sale?
  4. No, they will not, they have three guarantors to pursue and they cannot report a car stolen that has not been stolen.
  5. Do you know if that's always done? No, that is not the way finance companies work, the vehicle cannot be reported stolen as it is not stolen, it is "owned" under finance by the keeper who just hasn't paid what's due, the finance company has to take civil action to recover the debt.
  6. "I did wonder why the finance co haven't already looked for the car..." Because that's not the way it works, there's no point in having guarantors if their first course of action is to repossess the vehicle. Finance companies make their money by lending money, they have no interest in trading vehicles.
  7. Twice as clever as the OP title.
  8. "All I see are bums around Ekkamai" You're in the Ekkamai area, yes?
  9. You get everything you want first time, first page? Every time. Always.
  10. Where did I say it did? "Say its 'just a burger flipper' when those sharp edges are going into your face...." That's where. That's where you, very strongly, suggested that "edges going into your face" was the 'kin point of your "argument".
  11. Everything does, that the idea of Google.
  12. And he didn't prove himself to be right, there were no injuries, never mind deaths, resulting from that person holding whatever it was.
  13. Where did it state that he is a waiter?
  14. Where was it stated that his working here legally was as a "burger flipper"?
  15. It didn't go into anyone's face.
  16. "...if their work permits are a bit dodgey". Why should that be the case when it has already been confirmed, twice, that they are working legally?
  17. It's a paint scraper..... It's a food flipper.
  18. I would want to see their work permits if I was the Australian guy. Why? How would that be any of your business?
  19. It's a dual carriageway major road. not a country lane. That's what I thought, it's not a highway (that's a tollway in Thailand)
  20. No, so why did IOs turn up at his house? IB investigations, perhaps.
  21. What do you mean, "a guy like this"? Many Iraqis have money.
  22. Why should the "riff raff" (who have real extensions, issued by Immigration and so are here legally) be hunted down, shouldn't the agents be the ones who are hunted down for submitting snide applications?
  23. Obviously. That is how it works, pay the overstay, or the fine if he is prosecuted, and leave, deported
