  1. So will every other creature in the area!
  2. As it was reported, the patents checked out the place before using it so I'd guess that they would know how many. You seem to be suggesting that there were too many...why would you do that with no knowledge of the situation at all?
  3. unless it is someone who cannot be named.... then the whole highway system is shut down....... Just as happens in your country also.
  4. It's not a health concern... it an ‘anti-tourist' (ergo foreigner) concern... and topping the list to make any announcement which targets, blames or focuses anything negative on tourists in any way or form is... ...you guessed it !!... "...it an ‘anti-tourist' (ergo foreigner) concern..." No, it is not that. He is Deputy PM, that's why he is involved.
  5. Because he is a Deputy Prime Minister.
  6. They are incarcerated with the normal prison population.
  7. You don't know what "dislocated" means, do you?
  8. Pretty sure, in fact I know, it isn't.
  9. If you ran the consumption through a meter you would be up for tens of thousands baht a month. The end result would be the same....You would get nobbled! "Nobbled"...why? Is mining for crypto using metered electricity illegal now?
  10. Sotirios to Thaivisa... ..."here's some more unfounded and unjustified speculation".
  11. Only if you allow there to be no meter in the taxi you get in.
  12. Yes, that interesting that you have "no proof of the event". You need only your bank details, passbook and passport to make the claim from BoT.
  13. Are you saying it could still be used for extensions? There was a reason I put "end" in quotes. No, I did not say that. I wrote that a passport full of stamps does not become invalid. There was a reason that I wrote that.
  14. "...your experience, like mine, is not empirical". Incorrect, once again, my information is empirical. It was announced by the AMLO that from November '22, to combat money laundering, cash deposit machines would require the user to insert an ATM card so that they could be identified if necessary as previously CDMs could be used just by typing in the destination account number, i.e. the cash depositor was anonymous. Alternatively, the depositor, from November, could provide their ID card number or phone number. The same announcement also indicated that cash deposits at the counter would require ID. That's empirical.
  15. The 1930s called, they want they're racist references back.
  16. "When Will All These Annoying Tourists <deleted> Off ?" The rumour is that they're all asking when will you "<deleted> off" (to use your own words) also? They have just as much right to be here, and to be annoying, as you do.
  17. You're not a Thai, then? Are you here voluntarily or did someone force you and your kids to come here? Do the authorities in your own country stop their traditional celebrations if temporary foreign visitors complain because they find them to be too much of an inconvenience? Didn't think so.
  18. This is what was actually reported, "the suspect was found by the Laotian authorities and arrested ahead of his deportation". What that means is the he was arrested pending deportation. Not such a "stupid sentence" after all, and certainly not as stupid as...well, never mind.
  19. I did not mention any figure on purpose so that I would get the reply you have just posted, and also I can not remember the exact figure, but it was far in excess of that required for card renewal! ... P.S. Your comment "can be checked, unlike your claim." I find in extremely bad taste! "I can not remember the exact figure, but it was far in excess of that required for card renewal!" I didn't think that you'd "be able to remember it". As I posted, and as has been reported in the press a number of times by the Bank of Thailand, balances of dormant accounts that were closed by banks are transferred to the BoT from where they can be claimed. If it was such a big deal, that's all you have to do, there's no need to keep whinging about "losing" it when it is not lost if you can provide the necessary identification to the BoT. "Your comment "can be checked, unlike your claim." I find in extremely bad taste!" I'm not concerned about your interpretation of my comment which was simply pointing out that your claim (that you will not back up with figures) cannot be checked; that is a fact. I'm not so stupid as to expect you to produce evidence from your deceased friend, obviously, but I was expecting that you could justify something that apparently concerns you as much as you claim it does and that was such a significant amount to "lose". My claim that dormant balances can be reclaimed from the BoT is also a fact, a fact that can, very easily, be checked.
  20. A foreigner can open an account with agric bank. Need WP, PPort, salary evidence, marriage cert, yellow book Thanks for that clarification, the bank's website does not mention account-opening requirements for foreigners.
  21. Not at Bangkok Bank, Central branch in Udon Thani they're not. PS: Account held at Bangkok Bank, Pattaya Sai 2 branch. You're trying to say that those counter transactions that normally require ID, i.e. ID card for Thais or a copy of a passport for foreign customers, are not required at that BBL branch? Foreign account holders do not need to have their identity confirmed? I believe that is a false statement.
  22. Have you tried registering with them? https://www.lazada.com.my Lazada delivers from China, why shouldn't deliveries from Malaysia be possible? Does that site have items that are not available from the Thai site? Edit: Ok, I just tried, you can't unless you have a Malaysian phone number to receive am SMS.
  23. Rightfully so. Some members never read the rules.
