  1. Well, yeah, but if she gets killed, it's effectively the end of my life too. Sounds as though you're being selfish, there, you're actually worried about yourself! But, statistically, the chances of her being killed are very low, she probably undertakes way more risky things in her normal everyday life.
  2. Nowhere does that ad mention that it's in Oppo, in fact, the specifications, described clearly in the info, state "No brand" but glad you seem to be getting a refund.
  3. With respect, neither do you, nor I, nor anyone else here.
  4. Old man with young man here in thaild also is normal.. It is seen here but, no, it is not "normal".
  5. "Rear ending is the number one..." Hugely ironic given the two victims in this accident!
  6. "the Yaris driver was driving without due attention to what was going on ahead". What was going on ahead was irrelevant considering that he was pushed into the oncoming traffic by the Honda. "the Pick up driver is doing what so many do here and driving in the righthand lane when he should on the left unless overtaking". He wasn't overtaking a vehicle in the left lane? How could you know that?
  7. driver was making turn right at this coordinates 15.237751, 104.999295 Thank you for confirming that there were no unbroken white lines or zebra crossing markings which is what I posted.
  8. "I am generalizing". Well, now you are! Your original comment contained no hints that you were posting an off-topic, Thai-bashing generalisation!
  9. No, Sukhumvit Road only has one Soi 3 (Soi Nana Nua). So you're claiming that on one continuous road the sub-sois suddenly go from being, for example, Sukhumvit 149 with the next one being Sukhumvit Soi 1 again? Really? The next soi? If you say so!
  10. I use "only" the Pattaya forum and thats where i found it .. look again "I use "only" the Pattaya forum..." Really? This is the Bangkok forum but you're here so what you posted is not exactly correct! Regardless, how many Sukhumvit Soi 3s do you think Sukhumvit Road has?
  11. If the owners are not dead but the amulets are being traded, then the amulets are not lucky. Obviously, they are not really lucky but the fact that they are being traded does not mean that the people selling them do not consider them to be "lucky".
  12. Sure it does. This is a simple sketch of what that road looks like from above. But not everyone has the ability to perceive spacial relations by looking a pictures. So don't feel bad. What you showed in your "simple sketch" does not show zebra crossing markings, which cross roads from kerb to kerb, they do not run parallel to the road! Neither does the photo show unbroken white lines that the Yaris was being driven across. That you chose to make them unbroken in your simple but inaccurate sketch means nothing.
  13. That only works if the rear-ender hits full-on straight, if the car is hit at the rear corner it will go in the direction that it is being hit (or it will be spun around), regardless of the front wheels' position.
  14. Try to explain to Thais what’s lines and zebras meaning on the roads. Try to explain to some Thaivisa posters that there were no continuous white lines, not zebra crossing markings, that the Yaris was shown driving over in the OP photo.
  15. The driver wasn't reported to be making a U-turn.
  16. If you bothered to read the report you'd have an idea and wouldn't have to speculate about the veracity of the reference. A friend referred to them as "a couple".
  17. Nonsense, the photo in the OP does not show a zebra crossing markings, neither does the photo show the Yaris driving across any unbroken white lines.
  18. Where was that reported? The Toyota Yaris was equipped with airbags and the model involved was made until 2013. Hardly an "old, cheap car" in the way that you clearly meant.
  19. According to the National Institute for Emergency Medicine, all Thai hospitals, private and state, are required by law to provide emergency care treatment in situations such as this for the first 72 hours of admittance. Presumably, as they have that obligation, they would be reimbursed by the state.
  20. If the owners are not dead but the amulets are being traded, then the amulets are not lucky. Perhaps those previous owners, you know, the ones who did not die, consider that to indicate that the amulets are lucky, that's how they are able to sell them on. You've got a bizarre idea of what being lucky is, myself, I consider not dying being pretty lucky. Amulets are traded because they have a value, not because they are "lucky"; being lucky isn't an objective trait, it's purely subjective.
