  1. True Visions to run ads, but won't lower fees

Pay-TV operator True Visions plans to start broadcasting commercials on its network this year, but the increased revenue will not lead to a reduction in the subscription fee paid by viewers.

the goal of a business is to maximize profits. i don't think UBC qualifies as a charity. i've always wondered why they didn't show ads. i thought it was a stupid business move on their part. the ads won't change anything because there use to be "intermission" gaps where ads would normally be. they will however have a larger budget to increase the quality of programming which i am in favor of.

  2. i've got the same question for but for US citizenship and passport.

For US passport, you have to make an appointment with the US embassy. You usually have to wait about 6 weeks for the appointment (unless it's an extreme emergency). You have to bring both parents (or letter specified by them) and the child. Takes about 2 weeks for the processing.

that sounds stupid because my embassy is in Bangkok and I am in Koh Phangan. I thought it could be done by mail. I would rather not be traveling around Thailand with an infant. I hate how the US is so anti family.

  3. how come a student able to write such a well argumented plea needs to resort to cheating to pass an exam?

because he is lazy, not stupid. I use to cheat in high school all the time because i couldn't be bothered to do the tedious work. I never cheated once at the University level because I realized the importance behind the material.

  4. That student seems to have a grip on reality. There are many students who don't care if they pass or not. at least this student recognized his own shortcomings yet still strives for success. Survival of the fittest. This student has the foresight to realize that if he doesn't get into a good school that he will be hurt socially, and financially. It is only too bad that he didn't have that foresight during normal study hours. Sure in the long run he is only hurting himself, but not as bad as if he were to give up on the whole thing altogether. He used a natural thought process of "risk and rewards" to gauge if cheating would benefit him. He was caught so it didn't benefit him, but he also didn't lose much either. Had he gotten away with it (like so many others) then he would be in a much better position than he was going into the exam.

  5. And when you two are alone, in a confined space, like a taxi...or even better yet, an elevator, just rip a big loud fart too. Sexy!

hence the dutch oven. (letting one go under the sheets, then pulling them over her head)

this type of degrading behavior may produce a positive response in many "proper" girls. they feel more relaxed around you and can drop their guard. they may even join in the flatulence fun.

you'll be kissing in no time at all.

  6. start doing weird things to her when she isn't expecting it, like one day give her a big wet willy (wet finger in ear) and just laugh at her. another day you could pick her nose and say she has gold in there. Anything to break down the barrier she has created in a non-formal playful way. A lot of girls from decent backgrounds want to have something new and strange because they are bored to tears with the gentlemanly attitudes that she attracts. She will never be the first one to initiate the behavior, but later she will let her guard down and start letting more of you in. before you know it you will be giving her dutch ovens under the covers.

  7. ...Anyone here with a beautiful, intelligent wife?

    Yes.

She's an MCSD programmer/mathematician with an IQ of 155. Beat me in the Mensa test years ago and never let's me forget it.

But she's Chinese, hated Thailand, and moved back to the UK alone :D

Not sure what point this makes...

    [Edit - typo]

Ask her about the laws of electromagnetism. :o

In Thailand, a beautiful, intelligent woman is an oxymoron

when i was teaching 7 and 8 year olds in bangkok i came across an entire science section that was on magnetism, and a good portion was on electromagnetism. Thai's learn that stuff at a really young age, so I would assume they forget it when they get into more advanced stuff like commodity buying and selling (gold), and the effects of fermented rice on bodily organs.

  8. "I know an approx. 40 year old massage woman who keeps offering me her 15 year old daughter which I refuse....."

Good for you Mate :o ....A man of principle ! :D

A girl that age is too young to understand what kind of life she might be getting into. :D

Couldn't agree more. I'd really like to discuss this situation with the mother. Could you PM me the name of the massage parlour please.

    Thanks.

you just want to get a look at her daughter you sicko. we know your intentions. let a couple of years pass first.

  9. so does smoking, and i do that too. it is the quality of life, not the quantity. Life is a journey not a destination. So eat raw meat, and do whatever suits you best. enjoy...

the ants in veggies were good, but the silk worm larvea I didn't like

I enjoy Larb Blah flavored with ants and ant larva. it gives a nice tangy taste to it. I only get it when i visit isaan though. harder to find people that prepare it in the south.

  10. i have met many intellectual thais that go into depth on philosophy, religion, and politics. but all the thais that i have met with this intellectual capacity are all part of the same circle of friends. they are a refreshing group of people to spend time with and gives me hope for the future generations of thais.
