Not raising my eyebrows over minor details. No. As far as I know planes are not driven and yes they have wheels. Been owning and riding motorbikes, vespa up to Kawasaki GT & GPZ 750's (mid late 1980's?) Back to the Cub 110 last 10 years. Always wanted a Kwaka ZZ900, as in the movie Stone. My question was just a simple question.????????

Is it just me as a Aussie or do some other countries "drive" motor bikes (inc some posters here?) I always "rode" them, much like a bicycle. Been a question that I have meant to ask for a long time.????????

Fair enuff. Yes for personal pick up. Best to check with the Aus Embassy in Bkk for mail rather than consulate? I rarely trust websites....usually outdated information. It seems everyone has a slightly different story.????????

Reckon there are dozens of clips on tv of traffic police, military personnel, bank staff, nurses etc every year dancing. Some people just love to be outraged.????????

Yup. As I say, it all depends on the day. I always attend sober, dressed well and am polite. But they just make the rules up. First issue/problems in 10 years. Guess he had a bad day. Never take anything for granted at the IO.????????

Yes. Totally agreed. But who is going to win any discussion/argument that arises in a IO? Certainly not you or me. Treated as criminals every year.????????

Correct. But not sure if IO's know this. They love to see a letter which they can immediately photocopy 3 times and ask you to sign.????????

The Aus embassy no longer issues these letters. It certainly was not known by the IO 12 months ago. Has it now been understood?????????

Next the IO will be asking if the GF is a new GF. If so, need a letter from your wife.????????

Similar problem this year @ Jomtien. Passport was ok (15 months new) but my updated bankbook only had 11.5 months of transactions (meeting all requirements.) Had to get old cancelled bank book & take photos of last 18 months transactions and the front page. Haven't come across this one in 10 years. It really does depend on the Immig Officer and the day. Lordy knows what the IO does with all this paper.????????

I don't think anybody would feel safe, more peaceful or comforted with police strolling through the bar in any country. Yes, they are looking for money.????????

Same issue with newly issued Aus passport last year at Jomtien IO. Luckily I had been clever enuff to photograph the Embassy receipt. That got me through.????????

Don't forget to keep an eye out for those pesky 36 wheelers who flash their lights twice prior to going through a 10 second red light on highway 340 (doing maybe 120kph.)????????

Agreed. Personal experience here says that you should not do any of these things in public, even if you are a couple. Behind closed doors is another matter.????????
