  1. I don't know if demolition is already planned. But of course this area is too expensive for bars and they will disappear one day. Sadly me too and hopefully they go first... They're just cheap shacks and easy to remove. I just did a round there - midnight. If you take away the staff, many bars would be completely empty. And in the remaining rest of the Made in Thailand area it's even worse. I don't know how they survive. Does anyone know? Some say some of the bars are only there for money laundering and they don't need to make money. There is a lot of corruption money in Thailand that needs to be washed. But I don't know.
  2. Has nothing to do with LK Metro. The best start at Soi Buakhao is at Soi Pothole (not sure if you know this name ) or directly from the 3rd Road. I marked Subway and the Triangle Bar for orientation.
  3. The Beach Club didn't pose too much of a noise problem as it's a building that has walls surrounding the action area. I spoke to one of the farang owners when it was still under construction (see picture). He was very optimistic and told me that they would even build saunas in it. I've never been there as a customer. But does anyone know why it is closed now?
  4. The only Thais I see and saw there are the ones working there or coming with Farangs. And with working there I also mean the freelancers acting as customers at certain venues.
  5. If you are owner of a condo the yellow book will help you to save land tax because for the property you use as your residence you don't have to pay it. And you can use it as proof of address at other occasions.
  6. No, this is not only one bar. There must be new regulations. Obviously nobody here knows the reason why it is much more quiet. Whatever, I and countless others are glad that it is like this now and hope the best for the future ????????????. Regarding this Made in Thailand. Strange that they removed all bars and build now bars again. By the way. Do people here know the almost elegant Xzyte Square? It is just 100 meters from Soi Buakhao. It really looks good but had for whatever reason a slow start. Here is some information: Xzyte Square Pattaya https://maps.app.goo.gl/6Z3zaEpezfAu8E1A8 Look at the photos there.
  7. You don't know what you write. Very many people live in this area. And I have been living here in my condo for many years (there was no Tree Town for 20 years) and this fan room has 3 aircons because it is a bigger condo.
  8. It's not just one day. It's been several weeks now. I don't usually go to bars. But I think I have to go to one to find out why ????. I'm a little disappointed. I thought there were many bar lovers and bar owners here on the forum. But obviously the forum members are sitting at home reading and posting in the forum ????.
  9. I know it's true because I live in this area. For example, I couldn't even watch TV without headphones. And I only get the sound reflection because I'm behind other buildings. Now I don't need them anymore. There is still some noise in my condo, but not much. I hope it continues like this ????????????????????????????????. But who do I have to thank for this? This didn't happen by accident. Are no bar owners in this forum?
  10. The Beach Club wasn't the main problem. It was surrounded by walls. Does anyone know why it is closed?
  11. There is construction every day. didn't count them but I would say about 30 bar-like structures are already done. But there is still a lot to do. If I remember correctly, it should be ready by October.
  12. I don't expect them to think rationally. In my experience, the fewer customers they have, the more noise they make. The highlight are the balloon parties, where there is often so much noise with very large loudspeakers that not many customers can sit there. You have to be deaf...
  13. No, the bars are still there. And even in the loudest bars, the volume was turned down. And it's a big difference from before. There must be another reason.
  14. In my experience, whether or not you become addicted to a substance is very individual. I was extremely addicted to nicotine and it was a long, hard struggle to quit smoking. I don't have this problem with alcohol or weed. But I can imagine how people might suffer if they are addicted to alcohol or weed. I will never forget my nicotine experience.
  15. It is amazing. Tree Town terrorized its neighbors with extreme noise for very many years. And when I say extreme noise, I mean extreme noise. Endless complaints to the police and city hall and even long lists of signatures have changed nothing at all. But now the miracle. It's been a lot quieter for a while now. I don't know how long it will last and many residents and hotels in the area are hoping it will last for a very, very long time. Does anyone know why Tree Town finally got quieter? The new mayor? The new police chief? Anything else? Since I never visit a bar there I don't know. Perhaps here are bar lovers or even owners that know more.
  16. Let's assume that all vehicles in Bangkok would use hydrogen and only emit water vapour. What would this mean the for humidity in Bangkok? Much worse than now already? I think so.
  17. I didn't see a single fly. The comment below by @dddave makes me think...
  18. Always Phuket and their taxi drivers... I never used such services. Do they allow to rip off customers? If not I understand the problem ????????????. Good that we don't have such problems in Pattaya. https://thethaiger.com/news/pattaya/police-quell-bolt-vs-win-motorbike-taxi-driver-standoff-on-pattaya-beach
  19. Shocking. Many mentally ill people are walking around freely. It's just bad luck to meet one of them. And like you see with many serial killers. They seem very friendly at first.
  20. I remember the government wanted to eradicate this practice many years ago. Apparently they were unsuccessful. But of course, when you use such strategies to achieve things that are not normally possible, you are always very vulnerable.
  21. I've heard of this practice before. Glad they found this company after only 15 years. Topic closed now? But wait a minute. Why did it take so long to discover this company? Are they sure there aren't others doing the same thing? Some questions remain...
  22. I never visit bars or other entertainment venues and therefore have no idea about the prices. And I also don't know people going there (yes, life without this is possible even in Pattaya). But how does inflation change the price of their services? The drinks, the lady drinks, the bar fines, entertainment costs. Has that gotten more expensive?
