Yes, they conveniently believed Starmers excuse that it was a working meeting and that as all the shops and restaurants were closed , they needed to order some food for the workers to eat because they were hungry . Which would be quite believable and acceptable and necessary ,but they didnt give a reasonable explanation as to why they had to order beer and alcohol as well
