For me, the cost is circa 15,000 per year. The cost is irrelevant and doesn't factor into my wish to avoid immigration at all costs. All in my circle of friends use agents, not one of us ever goes near the place.

Agreed. I haven't been near immigration in 4 years. Agent for extension, online for 90 day reports.

I have loved the female form since I can remember, its shape its form, its hidden places, its like a funfair to me. My g/f is no longer the slim girl she once was (but far from fat) and she is a delight to cuddle up to, to feel and explore, even after some years together. Report it to the Police as that is illegal and keep reporting it until the lazy authorities do something. Short term party retails have been illegal for quite a time. Try reporting the location to the tax authorities if you don't get any traction from the Brown Jobs.

Sit having coffee in any UK Mall and see the miserable, fat, ugly people stroll by, with their snotty, crying brats, while the rain drizzles down (it cant even rain properly there) . Then sit having coffee in a Thai Mall and watch an attractive set of ladies walk by in attractive dress, with or without their cute kids, while the sun shines and the sea glistens, and you have at least part of your answer.

Because the teachers are useless. Look no further than the expat teacher brigade that live here and try to teach Thai's. The ones I meet and hear about here are mainly unqualified, ( a degree in Under Water Basket Weaving does not an English teacher make ), untrained in the 'art' and barely literate themselves.

That's the nub of it in my view. Moderation got out of control and I know that many members resented being treated like children and so moved on to other forums that are more relaxed, but no less respectful of diversity in views. Another factor is the expansion and usefulness of other social media platforms and the flexibilities they provide and encourage. Forums are looking increasingly like a past generation outlet for comment, knowledge and interest. Add poor and excessive moderation in past years to that mix, against social media's lack of meaningful moderation and you have a blueprint for the demise of forums. Finally, the rebranding from 'Thai Visa' was and is a disaster. Thai Visa said what it was, 'Asean Now' is a meaningless search title for those searching for a forum home.

it is very branch dependent. I chose an SCB Branch in a large Big C Mall in an area with a lot of expats. I had heard a different tail in the sticks.

I have two accounts with SCB. I am on a Non Imm O visa and had no difficulty opening both. All they needed to see was my passport and proof of address, which I provided using my Thai Driving Licence.
