Search on for tourist wanted for illegal fishing in southern marine park
Gottfrid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Stop protecting the foreigner by blaming the Thai man with the boat. Stop excuse his action with the lame and already overused "he is doing like Thais". If this man was fishing a type of fish, that is protected in the area he was fishing, then he has broken the law. If so, then he is rightfully sought for according to the laws, rules and regulations Thailand. What his punishment should be? That is hard to say. Deportation is to harsh, as he might not have been aware of that it was illegal fishing in the area he was doing it. However, it is a persons responsibility to have the knowledge enough to be aware of their situation and where they are. Actually, if in a national park, all hunting and fishing will be unlawful. Something that everyone have the knowledge about. I also di not know what posts about the Red Bull guy or calling in the FBI has to do with things. IMO it´s good to hear that they do enforce laws at least in some cases. This time it happened to be a foreigner, and then this forum is on fire blaming all they can on Thais and roaring about how terrible it is to enforce the law. Wonder if it would be the same reaction if it would have been a Thai posting a picture like that on Facebook. (But, now on the other hand, all members in the forum is going to say that it would not have been news in that case). The reality is, that it would have been. That, as the stupidity in all this is to post picture and brag about it online. -
That was arrogant! It helps you in the way, of knowing that it´s a local error and not something that more users experience.

Dear Mr Bar & Entertainment owner, We are sorry to say, your request for extended opening hours have been denied. As your place is located 50 meter outside the assigned zone, we will in no way be able to support your request. We understand how inconvenient this must be for you, and we are aware of the economical losses that might occur for your business as a result of this decision. However, if you contact our Brown-Env. sub-division, we are pretty sure that they are able to help you.

If we say that Som can´t help you. Then you can always try Pui. A professional that really knows how to help people. Have been doing it for 20 years, and today she is larger than life. Your other options is to get a work quicker than you need the bike, and then go motorbike shop and make the deal there. There will be a 70/30 change, with the larger amount representing a NO! As a last option, you can consider it like this. If a person can´t afford to buy a motorbike, or transport, in a country they wish to settle down in. Then, one might think the change of live is not the right one or being made at the wrong time.

Selling 1 oz gold bar in Bkk?
Gottfrid replied to wjmark's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Looks to me like you do not get that I was making a joke out of it. Please look at my posts below in this thread. What do you say? Do you see any of the above comments to be taken seriously? ???????? If we do take is seriously. The thing with this thread is very simple. You just don´t sell foreign standard gold in Thailand, as you will not get the right price for it. -

@desdeash @IvorBiggun2 I do not know who wrote this: Thai gold shops seem to only deal in 1kg gold or silver bars. However, I just want to share my experience. I know how bad it is. Last time I went into a gold shop, they told me that the smallest they would sell me was 750 gram. -

Crossing the street. Look both ways? NEVER!!!!!!!
Gottfrid replied to Iamfalang's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Sorry, I do not have such problems driving in Thailand, as I adjust to how people live, behave and do things in the country I chose to live in. It´s just as easy as look when you drive and stop for people crossing the street. Neither do I have such irritating hobbies to honk the horn just to scare people, I guess I am not in such hurry as you are. Probably also have a better kind of self-control, and not get so upset about stuff I can´t change. -
No amount of money will be sufficient, as there is no possibility to set a price on human life. If we do so, it will put us back hundreds of years. Back to the slave sale markets before the American Civil War. On the other hand, that would suit this man, as they also engaged in executions at that time.

Nice of you to have such irritating hobby -
No, you are making it different to suit your posting agenda. What I am talking about is repeated abuse, and maybe fear for your own life. I am not sure how bad this situation was, maybe not justified here, but no-one of us know the real situation. I never posted that you can kill a person just because you got punched one time. Posting such re-arranged information to suit your agenda really puts you in a division of your own.
