Believe what I am told. I have over 27 years of experience living in Thailand. I have lived in Bangkok and Pattaya and been a fairly regular visitor of Phuket. I now live in a more secluded part of Thailand, but still visit all three places. Like a 7 day trip every month. I go out a lot during my week of travel, and have never encountered any problems, over 27 years. So, of course you have seen this, and you have seen that, and your girlfriend is telling porkies. Maybe you and guys like you should start think with your F-ing brains. if you are positive, friendly, have a smile and socialize with people on all levels and nationalities, you will have no problem in Thailand. If you are of the negative kind that you are it will rub off on people. Already feel that I need a shower.

I reserve my right to comment on this forum. We are all members here, with equal rights. We can read about foreigners behaving bad on a daily basis here. Why do you think that is. In my opinion they should all have same treatment, and after deported.

You are soo misinformed, my friend. Sure, there are hundreds of idiots out in such areas, as they attract all kinds of people. However, if you have hundreds of idiots, then I guess the guards don´t have to look very far to find those idiots. I have been living in Thailand for over 27 years, and I been out in the country, been living in Pattaya, and Bangkok and many times on visit to Phuket, Krabi and more. As I always behaved good, I´ve never had any bar staff nor guards done anything more than smiling at me. Also how you can speak like you do about one of the worlds most popular entertainment areas is baffling. Just because you are of that opinion, doesn´t make it like that for all others. Like me, for example. Never had a problem and always have smiling and friendly people around me. Sure, if thinking like you do, and walking in with a negative to bad attitude to everything, then you actually might find yourself in problem as it rubs of on other people just as much as a smile and a friendly attitude. Let´s just say like this. people who are negative, does not belong in happy entertainment areas. Just leave that to positive people who can take things for what it is.

There is a very simple answer to your question that even you will be able to understand. In so called democratic elections, the peoples voice determine a persons approval rating. As we clearly can see, the general population does not share your values, because they see the whole picture. That´s the simple answer to you question, and at the same time answer to why the approval rating is where it is....

Bangkok fills it´s purpose as a city great for shopping, dining and partying. Usually fun for 2-4 days. After that I just want home to piece and quiet. 🙂
