It has always been my contention that it should be the guys from the UK who should teach the rest of the world how to write English, including the Americans. Even though I do still believe this, I also believe that The Farang Pub might not be the place for us to learn proper English. Almost nobody sets a good example, here on the FP.... BUT, I will say that Philip Roth, an American, attained just about the pinnacle of paragraph writing that the world has ever known.

This might be the very last thing I would consider. In fact, I would be shocked....SHOCKED.....to see such an enlightened discussion here. Neither would I welcome such a discussion here, absolutely!

Dear FP Members.... Have you ever asked yourselves why you post on the Farang Pub? a. You are a Farang? b. You have too much time on your hands? c. You have something important to convey to the Farang Community here? d. Lonely? e. You cannot help yourself from posting interesting and eye-catching drivel? f. Your name is Bob? g. You wish to entertain your fellow Thailand Farang? h. You were just released from 30-years incarceration in a Japanese prison? There are just so many possibilities... Why do you post so much on the TV Farang Pub? I have no clue why I might post a few comments. But, I think it might be due to the heat and humidity here in Thailand. Some just cannot stand the heat, and so they post on the Farang Pub, in order to distract themselves from the discomfort they feel. Which leads to another question: 1. Do you post more posts when the weather is hot? 2. Do you post more during the cold season, when the air is crisper, but never cold? Also.... 3. Have you ever posted a comment on TV while you were making love to a Thai woman, and did the posting, while in the act, create any bias in your posted comment? ============== I am sorry, but, IMHO, I cannot say for sure why I post on TV. My Dear Dummies! People today, especially the younger generation, are becoming dumber and dumber. Why is this? Sure, their IQ might be higher, due to improved nutation and better health, over generations, but they are now more ignorant. Is this a good thing for governments of today? The more ignorant a population, the more likely a government is to remain in power, which is a great thing for the CPC, and for Trump, after he is re-elected. Why are people so ignorant, these days? For one thing, curiosity has been suppressed, and there might be many reasons for this. Are YOU a dummy? Do you ENJOY being a dummy? IF you are above the age of 65, then you are NOT a dummy, obviously. But, if you are below the age of 40, then the term DUMMY probably applies to you. Ignorance is your name, in other words. Probably you don't even know how to open and fix a wrist watch, for example. Such Ignorance! The world has not known since.....before the establishment of the Roman Empire. Still, might it be a good thing for society that we are now breeding a new generation of docile ignoramuses? Personally, I cannot stand ignorant people. What about YOU?
