  1. So then... You like knots, I guess. Were you a Boy Scout? https://www.chinaexpatsociety.com/expat-life/the-perils-of-doing-laundry-in-china a. I will not debate you on this issue. b. Maybe you have never used a good washing machine in your life. And therefore, you know no better. c. Impossible to debate a person who has not been to Paris, and the Louvre.....
  2. I always used a ramrod. I always used a patch. I always used black powder. And, I always cleaned the barrel of the gun with water.
  3. So, don't go. What birds in Thailand sing in diminished chords?
  4. I have owned several guns. .44 magnum revolver .460 Weatherby 30-06 Browning semi-automatic rifle .22 target rifles .308 Winchester and several others. I was a fool, as I say, at the time. At that time, I lacked wisdom, though not intelligence. I admit it. And now.... Who is the fool?
  5. And, presumably, you love to have your clothes twisted in knots during each wash cycle. Ups to you, of course.
  6. Yes. These birds are highly social and also highly intelligent.
  7. If I were you, I would not put too much stock in heritability of IQ, even if your father was a true genius. Because.... If you own a gun, then we can say that your IQ is ....at best..... QUESTIONABLE.
  8. Yes. We ALL know the technical flaws in the stories written by James Fenimore Cooper, Sir. No need to beat this dead horse, all over again!
  9. Ah! We had a house in Cape May Point, sort of a summer house, with a bit of land attached. That was before that area was destroyed by overdevelopment. Back in the day, I could fire off my muzzleloader on our property at Cape May Point, and nobody would raise an eyebrow. I just thought that you might be from The Pine Barrens, is all....just ....judging... By your posts. Sorry....
  10. How do you remember them, the 80,000 people you have met? Do you have some sort of HUGE Rolodex, or something?
  11. I purchased a large refrigerator from Samsung, last October. I love it. As I posted here, many months ago.... The freezer goes down to minus 25 degrees C. So, in this case, I would say that this Samsung refrigerator is a real winner. Also, SUPER CHEAP at about Bt.18000, after deep discount. Very pleased with this refrigerator. Credit due where credit is earned. (My Samsung Laser printer was GARBAGE, however....)
  12. If you knew thousands, then....you must have been.... A politician. I have never known thousands of people, anywhere.
  13. When I was young, I had a Rock Chucker: When I was young.... I had the time to reload 0.45 ACP 30-06 .305 And, I used to reload a lot for my Browning BAR Semi-automatic rifle, which was a true beauty of a gun. Still, by age 20, I had outgrown childish things. Also, having lived in Taiwan for many years, I now know that gun ownership is, basically, for young fools with too much time on their hands.
  14. I was there, several times. Mary Kay used to be one of my biggest customers....! I travelled to Texas, several times, with my Chinese wife, from HK. The Texans looked askance at her, at the time. They probably thought she was rather exotic back in 1974. Texans are jerks; meaning they talk funny. Everyone in Boston once knew this.
  15. I agree! Everyone should have the right to bear these arms: 1790s, when the 2nd Amendment was ratified. I have used these long rifles, and they work like a charm, against targets. Such a beauty!
  16. I think that all guns sold to the public should be muzzle loaders. I have had several muzzle loaders. Some with percussion caps... Some without. Guns are OK with me....IF....they are all long rifles and muzzle loaders. Hard to stick up a bank with a muzzle loader. I mean.... Where would one keep his ramrod?
  17. I have had many guns. I sold all my guns when I realized that guns were useless, at age 18. I had a Weatherby Magnum 460. One bullet for this gun costs: So... 10 USD per shot. Better to buy a computer with this money, and then help save the Chinese, is my thinking. Gun ownership is pretty stupid. Stupid is as stupid does..... I am not a Trump man..... I am not dumb, and so I do not live in Texas. ==== A Weatherby rifle is not your average Midnight Special. First, you gotta pay a lot of money, maybe about USD5000 And then, after you order one, you gotta WAIT a loooong time before you can expect delivery.....
  18. They can also signal each other when a snake is in the area, and then coordinate among each other, to attack the snake. A green snake hasn't a chance when attacked by these birds. In addition: I have been recently teaching the local myna birds on my lawn rudimentary English grammar. Some of the birds that frequent my area can now count from one to 10. And, they know how to say, "Polly wants a cracker".
  19. The problem with the Asian clothes dryers is that they have CRAPPY drying power. When I want to dry my clothes, my bedsheets, whatever...then....I....DEMAND at least 20,000 BTU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Asia is so FAR behind the curve in washing machines and clothes dryers, compared to the more Powerful .... US of A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. In all honesty, just about the ONLY thing I have missed, after leaving the USA...is..... The washing machines. I have spent most of my life in Asia having my clothes tied in knots in Asian washing machines. (Not JOKING!) I detest Asian washing machines. Whirlpool is OK for me, though..... Years ago, while in Taiwan, I was forced to use some garbage machine made by TaTung. What LOUSY machines those were. Almost everything in Asia is better than in the USA....except..... The washing machines and clothes dryers. I rarely see a clothes dryer, even today, around here....
  21. Samsung is GARBAGE.... So, then....just get one of these...and....feel better.....while you WASH BETTER..... SAMSUNG washing machines, like all Asian washing machines....are GARBAGE!
