  1. Any machine that moves will be controlled by AI. This is the latest out, it seems....from.... OpenAI's wizard of OZ.
  2. For what purpose? Have any idea? Surely....It is written! In the Scriptures.
  3. Yes. You are smarter. But only by a slight degree.
  4. If only God could put an end to the evil of cancer. Cancer is an evil disease. If God will not put an end to the evil disease cancer, then, in your industry, do you have a gun with a silver bullet that can smite the Big C?
  5. What about the Flynn Effect, then? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flynn_effect
  6. Fortunately, for just about all of us, the smarter robot in the room is not Bard.
  7. For what it is worth, here is Bard's response to your post: You may be smarter than Bard, after all.
  8. a. I agree, absolutely, with your reasoning about the fact that the washing machine, whatever brand, was instrumental in setting women free from drudgery, with concomitant major impacts on society, as a whole. b. The "Death of a Salesman" was one of the most depressing plays I ever read. Even the name Loman sends a shiver through me. Even worse than the Grapes of Wrath, by far, in my opinion. c. Wet T-shirts? Many more years ago, there WERE no T-shirts, in some cases. We can all be thankful.
  9. Sorry, but you did not provide the exact prompt, verbatim, which you used in your case. Unless you provide the prompt which you provided to Bard/Gemini, then there is no way to evaluate whether or not Bard might be smarter or less smart than you. Perhaps, it is you who were not smart enough to provide Gemini with a valid prompt. We have no way of knowing. Correct?
  10. Sorry, but your statement is completely false, of course. I have used washing machines most of my life, at university, at home at age 9, in HK, in Taiwan, in Mexico, in Canada, in Japan, and many other places. Why not just refer to the link I posted above which ranks Samsung 10th, in last place, out of 10. Would you date a girl who was ranked last? I doubt it. Then why would you use a washing machine ranked last? Would you rather date a girl like Bo Derek, a 10? Or, would you date a girl who is a One, and looks like Balzac? Please refer to the ranking of washing machines posted above. Thank you.
  11. Old habits.... Hard to break. American PSYCHO Association, that is....maybe?
  12. In the 1970s, we used the TaTung washing machine in Taiwan. This had a separate extractor to extract water from the clothes. First, you washed the clothes. Then, you removed the completely knotted and twisted clothes. Then you loaded the knotted mess into the extractor. Then.... You just threw the machine and the knotted clothes off the balcony. Very simple process. The Samsung machines are just about the same, in my estimation.
  13. YES! You are so correct. Same goes for ACs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who gets the dregs, I would ask??????
  14. So, if I were buying a washing machine, then.... SPEED QUEEN....all the way! Or....maybe LG, or....GE....or, Maytag.
  15. TAKE NOTE, FOLKS, PLEASE: GARGAGE!!!!!!! https://www.slashgear.com/1400882/major-washing-machine-brands-ranked-worst-best/ NOT GARBAGE:
  16. Yes. But, the topic is mostly about washing machines. Sorry. Therefore, please feel free to add any thoughts about other GE/Westinghouse/Maytag appliances.
  17. Side loaders are more efficient, and better, as far as I know. Side loaders clean better....as far as I know. Only problem is.... I have never seen one, either near the university, nor anywhere (around here), which can be coin-operated. If I had seen one, I would have used it, for sure.
  18. This Topic, I had thought, was about washing machines. Specifically , the impeller washing machines which Samsung provides. But, since you asked: a. I like my Samsung refrigerator. b. I hate my Samsung laser printer. c. I love my Samsung Phones! d. I did not like my Samsung AC e. I do not like the Samsung clothes washers. f. I LOVE my Samsung SSDs! etc etc etc Note: I never watch television. If I did, maybe I would buy a Sony! But, I would not buy a Samsung TV, for sure.
  19. There are two basic types of top-loading washing machines: a. agitator b. impeller The Samsung machines that I have used in Taiwan, Thailand, and one other country, have all been impeller machines. The impeller machines twist and tie my clothes in knots, no matter what I do. You can google this problem if you like. Or, you can choose to not investigate this further. All that I can tell you is that, before coming to Asia, I had never experienced this twisted-up knotting of clothes, not until I first used the impeller machines, or the machines in Taiwan which do not have agitators. I guess that there are many like me, for example: https://www.houzz.com/discussions/2432718/agitator-or-agitatorless-washers
  20. Read this link, please, for a start: https://www.chinaexpatsociety.com/expat-life/the-perils-of-doing-laundry-in-china
  21. No. NOT operator error. Not. Please read the entire article that I linked. I will link once more: https://www.chinaexpatsociety.com/expat-life/the-perils-of-doing-laundry-in-china Also, this tying of clothes in knots can cause more rapid degradation of fabric. If you still do not believe me...then....just contact any of the major suppliers in the USA, such as MayTag, Whirlpool, and others. Why should you try to debate something that so obvious???? The information is freely available on the internet. Just google it.
  22. Which is just another way of saying that you have never used a top quality washing machine. And, you do not care.
  23. Samsung washing machines are GARBAGE for this very reason: https://www.chinaexpatsociety.com/expat-life/the-perils-of-doing-laundry-in-china
