School Van Accident in Northern Thailand Takes Young Student's Life
Great Company!!!! I think this company might also manufacture Top-Of-The-Line FIRE ENGINES, too! But, if I were issuing a major contract for 20,000 school buses, then I think I might opt for one of these.... I have such fond memories of waiting for the school bus at the corner, when I was in elementary school. But then, when I got my license to drive, I chose a different mode of transportation.... And what would school-transport be without a 426 cubic Hemi? Please Note: Always drive safely...

If you look at the article that I linked, you will see that much more driver training is required for US school-bus drivers. The US recognizes that further driver training will be required to decrease fatalities.

School Van Accident in Northern Thailand Takes Young Student's Life
The point is... If you look closely, it seems that the bus in the photo might be some sort of old bus which has now been repurposed as a barber shop. So, this is why I like this photo for this article. It says to me: Children's lives are more important than having one's hair cut at a barber shop. And also, it says that there is enough money to buy better school buses, if only we would choose to allocate the required funding. It would be better to do without certain luxuries in order to redirect spending to providing children with safer transport to their schools. So, a very good image, IMHO...

Mystery Deepens: Missing British Man Boarded Flight from Thailand
They just lie flat. I think, given the world situation that young people today face, there are many who will be bugging out, even without thought to the future...since there is, very likely, no future ahead for anyone. Young people realize this, even better than older generations. There is no longer any point in many of the institutions that older people and earlier generations once held sacred. The end is nigh... And, many more people are going to just drop out of society. How can you blame them?

That sounds reasonable. Always stay protected or celibate.

What about this Samsung Washing Machine? Should one buy it?
So, I think you mean this one... These specs rarely say where the machines are made. Also, if it it says made in some country, no doubt the parts are produced in many places, and mostly China. It would be best to buy everything needed on the Japanese market. The quality is in Japan.

What about this Samsung Washing Machine? Should one buy it?
If sometimes higher than 60-degree C, then maybe we are back to the good old days.... Those were the days... When clothes were really clean. === If in a hospital setting, then maybe... In the future, I will wash at over 50-degrees C. Makes sense....
-
What about this Samsung Washing Machine? Should one buy it?
Maybe this depends upon the type of detergent used? I really have no idea... But then, there is this.... So, as you say... Washing at 40-degrees C or higher is better for stain removal. I will remember that, and I will need to add hot water to the wash cycle... Or, I will need to wash my clothes during the Hot Season, at 3:00 PM. https://www.which.co.uk/reviews/washing-machines/article/washing-machine-temperature-guide-aLiyf2p96y4d#benefits-of-washing-at-30c https://cwservicesinc.com/cold-water-does-it-clean-your-clothes/ So in conclusion, just choose the correct detergent for the water temperature you are using.... And wash happily. Certainly, Thailand's climate will provide water at a good temperature for effectively washing clothes.

Kamala Harris's VP Choice: Did She Make Her First Major Campaign Mistake?
If you mean, by a reputable quote, The Washington Post, this article you linked is behind a paywall. Therefore, the link that you provided is not accessible to many. Just post the facts, or a link to the facts. If you think that you need to have a teaching moment to instruct others concerning propaganda, persuasion, belief, and the media, then please feel free, but it's not necessary. Nobody here screwed up, and no one here was attempting to distract from the facts. Also, nobody here has much of an interest in who wins in 2024. The only problem is that people like Harris and Walz, through their obviously self-serving ways, have made the world worse for everybody. You can be sure that, if not Walz or Harris, at least someone of their ilk will get elected. And, we will be back to square one, in Janaury 2025. Trump or Harris? Both are fine with me. They will make zero difference in the grand scheme of things. They will be gone after a brief moment, and will be forgotten, soon enough. Fortunately, I do not live in the USA. The ONLY time I see any news about these two clowns is here on this sub-forum. You have a house in the USA.... You are the one that must live with them... Not I... Enjoy...!

Kamala Harris's VP Choice: Did She Make Her First Major Campaign Mistake?
Just post the evidence, please. Post his record. And, show his place of birth, too. Maybe he was born in Canada, for example. I do not trust the guy. He seems a phony. His main appeal is to the farmers in the mid-west and to the so-called "salt of the earth". I like people who are intelligent. I like city people, too. Especially people from Boston.

Be careful lying on the massage tables in Thailand. Easy to catch infection.
I do not do massages at home, either. I do not like people pulling on my bones.

Mystery Deepens: Missing British Man Boarded Flight from Thailand
He's probably here,... Somewhere It would have been easy to just exit the airport doors, and continue walking in almost any direction. Norway is very sparsely populated, and this time of year the climate is good for camping. If I were he, I would just take the supplies I could carry in a backpack, and leave the world, with its troubles, behind. We all know that young people, today, and around the world, especially in China, are choosing to Lie Flat, and the Lying Flat Movement is all about no marriage, no job, no house, and no children to care for. I believe that this is a possibility. Sometimes, the stress of society becomes too much for any thinking individual to bear. (Speaking of Bears, I happen to know that part of the woods has bears, very close to Helsinki: )

Old age sex, revisited.
a. Linux, and the use of Linux, especially for the desktop, is logical, and a rational choice. b. In Thailand, for most Farang, choosing a ladyboy for a change of pace seems illogical, and an irrational choice. c. I would not compare the two experiences, in fact. Linux is a much better user experience compared to Windows OS. The Thai Ladyboy often provides a less than optimal user experience, but just judging from the plethora of data gleaned from the Thaivisa forum. There is really no comparing Linux to a Ladyboy, nor bananas to peaches.

Kamala Harris selects Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to be VP running mate
HAHAHAHA.... The guy is NO BRAINIAC.....which is itself an UNDERSTATEMENT....!!! He was accepted into his first college which is OPEN ADMISSION, and therefore anyone is admitted with no more than proof of high-school graduation. He has some sort of trash-degree in the Social Sciences, which actually means not much science, in terms of anything resembling Physics, Biochem...the Natural Sciences. In a debate, Vance will wipe the floor with this tub of lard. Just my prediction. Al Gore was smarter than this guy, for sure! Al Gore Education: Al Gore and Clinton knew a lot more about computer cables than does the SALAD WOMAN.... Here they are installing computer cables at a school.... Al Gore for Vice President !!!!

Old age sex, revisited.
You just need to find some way to re-channel your libido towards more worthy pursuits. This is NOT about old age, meaning the choice to go celibate. It's about the decision to shake off the chains that tie one to the daily hassle of dreary relationships with the opposite sex. Most people are unwilling to admit just how terrible their lives are made by this need to cohabit with a female/male/or-what-have-you. I am happy I no longer need to wake up and see my former GF, my former wives, ... Or anybody. So much stress has just fallen away since I took the plunge into strict celibacy. Therefore I do recommend that you: A. Give one year of celibacy a try. B. Get rid of Microsoft Windows OS 10/11, and become free with Linux, OpenSUSE Leap, 15.6...... These are the two best decisions I have made in the past two decades. Try it.

School Van Accident in Northern Thailand Takes Young Student's Life
Personally, I think the choice of image for this news story is excellent, and it points up what is lacking at the present time. If you look at the school bus in the image, the bus has a cement block in front of the tire, to keep the bus from rolling. And, what is that BarberShop Pole doing on the side of the bus? Is this old bus used as a Barber Shop, or something? So then, the MESSAGE of this Image is that School Buses of Excellent Design are not in use for transporting children to and from school? I have no idea what the relative fatalities might be for children riding US buses to school vs buses used in other countries. However, just looking at Wikipedia, the story is not as simplistic as some might imagine. Is the USA actually safer, or not? Or, is this just a myth? For example this: Are some countries shifting to Van Chassis-Based School buses now? Nice article here about US buses, and just how much safer they seem to be: https://www.edweek.org/leadership/are-school-buses-safe-an-expert-explains/2024/02 Zero fatalities is the ideal....

Foreign Volunteers Join Meeting with Pattaya Tourist Police to Improve Tourist Safety
If I decide to wear a uniform, then... I will join The Civil Air Patrol... Much more COOL... And, you get to fly... If you have a plane. Overall, I would suggest that these old guys spend the time and money to get their private pilot's license. And then, see about joining some civil air patrol organization in Thailand.

School Van Accident in Northern Thailand Takes Young Student's Life
One of the safest of vehicles, or so it is said, is the standard type of school bus used in many states in the USA. Is this true? If so, why not use them in Thailand where traffic is not the safest in the world? These busses are not especially expensive, and least relative to the value of one young life. Difficult to think about a parent sending a child off to school, carried by anything other than the safest vehicle possible... Busses like this allow children to sit up above traffic level. Busses are very heavy, and are equipped with seat belts, and much more.

Voltage Discrepancy with APC UPS BV1000I-MST: 230V input & 206V output?
First, I must establish that the units are not performing as designed. Today was the first time I had measured the output voltage. I need to test more this week, and then contact JIB if warranted.
